24.01.2022 This special request blanket was finished last night. It is not something that we usually provide as part of our range but in designing and making it, I myself have been deeply touched by this beautiful prayer. I believe it's very symbolic of not only my own heart but also what we do as a ministry here at Heavens Comfort .

11.01.2022 Tonight I was praying about a scripture to put on a blanket for a young lady struggling with severe anxiety. As I prayed this song came on my playlist. It fit so perfectly with the scripture I had chosen. I'm believing for incredible peace for this precious lady, and that she would be able to listen to this song when she is wrapped in her blanket and declare - I am no longer a slave to fear - I am a child of God. 08.01.2022 In anticipation of our 15th Anniversary next month, we have been solidly working on a rebrand of all our products and services. We are so excited to announce that our beautiful new website designed by the extremely talented Amber Ladd from Amber Ladd Studio is now live. The new features include an online store where you can purchase items that not only compliment, but also help to financially support our free blanket ministry. We have included an online ordering system for... our free blankets from our ministry page. And also added a volunteer enquiry page. 07.01.2022 It is with heavy hearts that we acknowledge the passing of our Heavens Comfort Board Member Rene. A beautiful friend and incredible mentor; a fellow volunteer with Heavens Comfort who gave up her time and instilled her heart, wisdom and faith to help prayerfully create personalised comfort blankets to grieving families and those going through crisis. Rene joined the team at Heavens Comfort Ministries in 2014 as an answer to our prayer during a time of considerable expansion.... She provided outstanding support to the leadership and the most heartfelt intercessory prayer into appropriate and individualised scripture references for blankets. We cannot thank her enough for her incredible contribution to this ministry and for her support as a beloved mentor to myself, the President. Our heartfelt sympathy is with her precious children, grandchildren, family and all those who knew and loved her. My hope and great comfort is knowing that her refuge was always under the shelter of His wings, and that today she is rejoicing with her Lord. (Psalm 91:1)

But we are very mindful that today can be a very painful reminder of those precious Mums and children that are no longer with us and also of those precious children many are longing to have. 05.01.2022 Below is the flyer for our annual shopping trip to which we would love it if you could join us. You probably know about our incredible team of volunteers who have enabled this ministry to provide our free services for over 14 years, all across our country and even into eight others. But what you may not know is that this is our only major fundraiser for the year. The funds raised from our shopping trip combined with the generous support from Victory Church Bendigo, and the ...small amount of donations from others allow us to pay our compulsory insurances and audit costs, direct manufacturing costs, direct materials and postage required to ensure that we can continue to meet the needs of helping bereaved children, parents and siblings, terminally ill patients and family and suicidal and self harming teens, among others. So that being said, if you are free on that day and would love a fantastic day out shopping in time for Christmas presents, knowing you are helping out a fantastic organization that is genuinely only operating to help others then we would love for you to join us . 03.01.2022 This piece is such a raw, honest and eternally beautiful glimpse by the author of the treasure that a person is, despite the feeling that is covered or hidden by darkness. It highlights the deep connection and support that comes about through life, especially through pain. It is written as a reminder to those in the bad times, that they are wonderful, despite hard things.
02.01.2022 "Who told you life wasn't worth the fight? Because they Lied" - Rascal Flatts September in Australia is our National suicide awareness & prevention month. Aimed at reducing the stigma around what was once a taboo topic. But here at Heavens Comfort we are made aware all year round of the devastating effects of losing a loved one to suicide and of the escalating numbers of young people who are battling suicidal tendencies and self harming addictions . ... This week I came across this beautiful song, written about the loss of a young person to suicide . The band Rascal Flatts describes life as a "Beautiful song" and poses the question "Who told you life wasn't worth the fight? Because they lied". Tonight if you find yourself in that place of darkness, I pray that this song will touch your heart, and resonate deeply to stop believing the lies you might be telling yourself. You are precious, you are loved and your beautiful life absolutely matters. Reach out for help. You are not alone.
