25.01.2022 QCAA have advised that the Food and Nutrition mock and sample external assessment papers have been corrected and re-released in the QCAA Portal. Teachers of Food and Nutrition are encouraged to access and use these updated resources.

22.01.2022 HEIA(Q) will be hosting online communities of practice to support teachers to reflect on their experiences with Unit 3 internal assessment in preparation for endorsement in 2020 for Design and Food & Nutrition. This is a great opportunity for those experienced and new to teaching Unit 3 to collaborate and share practice. That's not all! As we continue through 2020, HEIA(Q) is interested in offering more online learning / collaboration opportunities. To ensure they are valuable, we want to know what would be useful concepts to focus on. Let us know your thoughts!

14.01.2022 As part of National Science Week (August 15 23), La Trobe University is running online events called ‘A taste of tomorrow; fake meat, sautéed spider and lobst...er lollies?’ that looks at what foods we could be eating in future that are sustainable and nutritious. People who register for our family friendly, FREE events will be delivered a box of mystery ‘future foods’ (www.tastetomorrow.edu.au/events) to open at the online events and discuss the challenges and opportunities related to producing such foods with a panel of experts from Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Nutrition, Physics, and Psychology. We also invite people to engage with the website (www.tastetomorrow.edu.au) or social media (Insta taste_tomorrow, Twitter @taste_tomorrow, #tastetomorrow) to find videos of researchers, fact files, blogs, experiments (for home or school) and recipes related to the sustainability and nutrition of the foods. image001.png
