19.01.2022 Stage 4 lesson: face shield Day 10 I had accepted working in a face shield meant poor/cateract vision in a foggy mask. Mario says to me are you having trouble seeing?... Yes I say. He then informs me there is a coating I peel off! Amazing! I can see again. Day 14 Another patient asks 'are you having trouble seeing?' Apparently there are 2 peel off coatings!!!

18.01.2022 I've been explaining this for years. This is a reasonable explanation but it still uses the discription of a gas bubble forming which confused people. 13.01.2022 After more information was released today by the Victorian government on stage 4 restrictions it appears that we will stay open. Firstly, we would like to say that we sympathize with all those new people whose jobs have been put on hold. We feel for the gyms, restaurants, cafes, pubs, retail etc owners and workers whose jobs and lives have been thrown into disarray. ... I can only imagine the stress you have and will be going through. Having personal experience of the difficulty of having family in nursing care or hospital, our thoughts are with you. We are privileged to remain open at this time. We are taking every precaution to make your experience with us as safe as possible. 06.01.2022 UPDATE: we now remain open in a restricted capacity. New advice form DHHS states that we can continue to see patients without a GP referral. But routine care is not permitted.... What does that mean? Because stage 4 restrictions are designed to restrict non-essential movement around Melbourne and reduce community transmission chiropractic care can now only be provided if you need care for a pain or issue that will limit function or your capacity or where delaying care could result in your condition deteriorating. So that means if you're doing ok please consider if you really need to travel for treatment and/or if not receiving care would cause you to suffer, deteriorate or lose function. Our appointment SMS or email confirmation is all the documentation you should need for proof of why you're travelling. I'm sorry this is confusing but it's uncharted territory and about stopping the Covid transmission.

04.01.2022 Chiropractic 'Click Bait' Over the past year or so many people have asked me about the chiropractic videos they see on YouTube and wonder why I don't use some of the techniques? The comment is often that the patient in the video seems to get amazing results with huge 'cracks' coming from their spine. The thing to remember about these videos is that they are often not about patient education but more about getting lots of view/clicks.... On YouTube you can get paid approximately $1 per 1000 views and also if people click on the advertising on your site. So by producing something controversial or unusual you increase your chance of getting lots of views, and consequentially generating revenue. Like all social media you have to keep your sceptic radar switched on and not be surprised when your health professional does none of the techniques you see.

01.01.2022 OK take 2!!!! I'm sorry for an incorrect post on Monday that stated we were going to remain open. Based on the information at the time, Allied Health were to remain working, but further information Tuesday afternoon made it apparent that Allied Health practitioners were to abide by the stage 4 stay at home restrictions.... Unfortunately everyone has been scrambling to get clarification but we haven't received any further updated information. So as of 11.59pm tonight we will be closed for business for at least the next few days. This is a dynamic and changing situation which may develop quickly. If you have appointments later this week or next week we will be contacting you with further information. At the moment the only circumstances for you to get treatment is if you have a current medicare referral from your GP or get a GP referral. We understand that this may distress some people who can't receive the care they need but we will keep you updated of the changes and remain available to talk on the phone.
