20.01.2022 Pranayama has been one of the truly medicinal tools that has had & continues to have a transformational effect on every level of my being on the daily. Every morning I incorporate around 20 minutes of pranayama into my meditation practice and the benefits I have experienced from making this practice a priority of my day are beyond measure. When we practice pranayama regularly we strengthen our pranic bodies (our energy body), this has an effect on our aura, our energy field, ...our charisma and the energy we bring to situations, interactions & relationships. One of the pranayama practices I use every day is Bhramari or Humming Bee Breath, this is a calming breathing practice that soothes the nervous system and helps to clear the mind in preparation for meditation. Bhramari is the Sanskrit word for bee, and this pranayama was named so because of the humming sound produced at the back of the throat during the practicelike the gentle humming of a bee. This breath technique calms and quiets the mind, releases tension, stimulates & supports the pineal and pituitary glands, soothes the nervous system, relieves stress and anxiety, dissipates anger, lowers blood pressure, promotes the health of the throat, strengthens and improves the voice, supports the healing of bodily tissues & helps with sleep. To practice this pranayama find a comfortable seat, allow the spine to lengthen, gently close the eyes & lips, keeping the teeth slightly apart, and bring the tip of your tongue to the space behind the upper front teeth. Maintain this position of the mouth throughout the practice, frequently checking to ensure that the jaw remains relaxed. Then, close each ear with the thumbs, place the index fingers at the midpoint of the foreheadjust above the eyebrowsand reach the middle, ring, and pinky fingers across the eyes so that the tips of these fingers press very gently against the bridge of the nose. To begin, take a long, deep breath in through the nostrils, bringing the breath all the way into the belly. Drop the chin to the chest and begin to exhale slowly, making a steady, low-pitched ‘hmmm’ sound at the back of the throatlike the humming of a bee. Cont in comments

Don’t allow self doubt, fear & overwhelm stop you from living your truest, wildest life, instead acknowledge alll the feels, recognise they are valid & visualise yourself doing the thing, having the conversation, overcoming the fears & doubts with balance, ease & grace feel the feels & do it anyway! 17.01.2022 HERE & NOW The past & future are illusions, whenever you allow your mind to either wander off into the past into regret or longing or move into anticipation for some future person or experience you leak valuable prana ~ life force energy, in essence you leak power. Power that could otherwise be directed to manifesting the best NOW moment ever! Neither the past or future can give you what you need. Get in touch with reality as it is, BE HERE NOW as this is all there is, be 111% present with what is in your reality right in this very moment. 12.01.2022 Catastrophising and delusional thinking are a misuse of prana (life force). The practice of yoga & meditation helps you to clear the inner slate, get focused & grounded. Prana flows where attention goes, so rather than injecting juice towards what you are fearing, through the stories & scenarios you are creating in your mind, allow your practice to help you to redirect your valuable prana to seeing things how they truly are, release negative thinking, and practice reality as it is whilst envisioning what you are working towards in the 'highest good' unfoldment for all involved.
