25.01.2022 You look so much better when you smile! But not everyone feels comfortable with their smile for one reason or another. Theres no need to hide away anymore - makeover your smile with crowns and veneers so your smile can contribute to your health and happiness again.... For advice on how we can help improve your smile, call 9343 5900 to schedule your appointment.
24.01.2022 By now, you will have heard of the amendments HBF is making to members dental cover in 2019. If you are one of our HBF patients with an outstanding treatment plan, or maybe you require your maintenance hygiene appointment, now is the time to book (before we close for Christmas on Saturday 22 December 2018) to maximise your benefits this calendar year. All appointments can be made by calling 9343 5900 or online via the Book Now button on this page. The Heights Laser Dental Ce...ntre will continue to be a HBF Member Plus practice in 2019. So what does your 2019 HBF coverage look like when attending a Member Plus dentist like us? From January 1 2019, patients will still be entitled to one fully covered scale and clean per calendar year however HBF have removed the "no gap" on preventative dental for kids. Members with basic to mid-level coverage will be entitled to 75% or 85% respectively on preventative services, with guaranteed out of pocket expenses. Members with top level cover will receive 100% back (or no out of pocket expense) for the whole family - with or without dependents - on preventative services. Rebates generally speaking will be reduced for general and major dental; annual rebates will be introduced for general dental (eg restorations and extractions); annual limits will be reduced for major dental. Note - HBF will not pay the same rebate for quotes provided this calendar year. So what does this mean for you? If you havent used your dental entitlements for the 2018 calendar year, in particular your fully covered general scale and clean, we suggest you book soon to ensure you can get an appointment before we close for Christmas on Saturday 22 December 2018 so as to not lose your benefit. If you have children who currently benefit from no out of pocket expense on preventative services, again we suggest booking them an appointment before we close for Christmas on Saturday 22 December 2018. If you have an incomplete treatment plan for general and / or major dental, again schedule your appointment before we close for Christmas on Saturday 22 December 2018 before rebates are affected in the New Year. We look forward to continuing being of service to all our valued patients and should you have any queries regarding the management of your oral health, please do not hesitate to contact us on 9343 5900.
24.01.2022 A huge thank you to all our patients post Covid19 shutdown. As you know, we closed for a period of a month, and for us it felt like a really long time. We have been back at work for nearly 2months and it has been busy. We are humbled at the trust that you have continued to place with our team to look after you and your family. School holidays are well under way. We are extremely lucky to be in WA, as we hear more heartbreaking news of the COVID-19 numbers in Victoria and ...NSW. And, we know some of you have family and friends that you have not being able to physically catch up. That is tough. Connections with ppl close to you are important and soulful. And, for you to pause that catch for a while longer, our heart goes out to you and your family. Please continue to be vigilant... stay safe.... And, have a great week!
24.01.2022 Dr Ash is taking some well-earned leave between 5 - 16 August ... for any of his patients who need to see him before he leaves, call 93435900 today to book your appointment.
22.01.2022 In line with our philosophy of keeping your teeth for life, prevention is the key so we encourage parents to bring their children in from a young age to get them used to visiting the dentist. We are pleased to advise that the Child Dental Benefit Schedule will be extended for another 3 years under the new federal budget! The CDBS provides individual benefits for a range of services including examinations, digital radiographs, cleaning, fissure sealing, fillings, root canals a...nd extractions. Eligible children will have access to a benefit cap of $1000 over a two calendar year period. To be eligible a child must be aged between 2 - 17 years and their family must receive Family Tax Benefit Part A or a relevant Australian Government payment. Families can check whether their child is eligible for the CDBS by contacting the Department of Human Services. Or call us on 9343 5900 to book a consultation to find out more!

The graphic below explains how our practice would be operating. Please take all precautions necessary to help reduce the p...otential spread of this virus. We have a hand sanitising station by our front door. Please sanitise as you enter the practice and, similarly hand sanitise as you leave.

21.01.2022 Isolation during this pandemic can be difficult. You may be at home more than usual... and home has lots of treats in the pantry and fridge similar to the picture below. It is tempting to snack more often than usual. And, that is ok. These are different times. However, we need to be careful. Frequent snacking means more sugar and acid attacks to your teeth... meaning increasing chances of decay/ holes or acid wear in your teeth. ... Dental tip: have a water rinse after the snacks. This will remove any residual sugar or acids and, therefore reduce the chance of any further damage to your teeth. You are also on your way to getting that water intake into your body. Our practice is still temporarily closed due to the restrictions on practice because of Covid19. If you are in dental pain, please contact the following practices that can help you. 1) Dr Dean Martin - 243 Grand Promenade Dianella ... tel 9272 1700 2) Lifecare Dental Kingsway - cnr Wanneroo Road and Hepburn Avenue ... tel 9409 3619 3) Perth Central Dental Centre - 497 Wellington Street (cnr William Street) ... tel 9222 5900 We are checking our answering machine and emails periodically. Thank you for your understanding during these unprecedented times.

13.01.2022 Our patient was embarrassed by her lower teeth. She didnt like the look or feel of them. It took a couple of appointments for her to even smile for us! There were fillings that had fallen out and discoloured, chipped teeth. We managed to polish the old fillings, and restore the chipped and decayed teeth to give her the confidence to smile again. She is now so proud of her teeth.

09.01.2022 Its not an optional extra. This new video from the ADA clearly explains why flossing should be a key part of everyones dental care. #dentalhealthweek #watchyourmouth
08.01.2022 Media reports earlier this week have some parents / clubs advocating lollies replace the traditional half-time oranges at childrens sport due to the acidity levels of oranges. The stickiness of lollies however keeps high levels of sugar on the teeth and when not cleaned effectively, can increase the accumulation of harmful cavity-causing bacteria. Read more from Dr George Mandranis here http://tiny.cc/h4tx8y and lets all continue to promote healthy choices to our children.

04.01.2022 We can all be happy that toothpaste has advanced from the Ancient Egyptians who used ingredients such as a powder of ox hooves ashes and burnt eggshells combined with pumice. Or the Greeks and Romans who favoured more abrasiveness so included crushed bones and oyster shells! Are you brushing correctly? ... Did you know it takes two to three minutes to brush your teeth properly but most people only spend 30 seconds or less? We should all be brushing twice daily with a fluoride toothpaste. With Dental Health Week approaching, see the 4 Simple Tips to keep your oral health in tip-top condition.
