25.01.2022 Today we held our House Cross Country Challenge across years 3-12. Over 200 students raced between 1 and 5kms on the muddy school ovals. Well done to all students who participated! Stay tuned for our announcement of individual winners and the overall House Champion next week

24.01.2022 Well-done to the Primary Athletics Team who competed at the SAPSASA District Athletics Carnival on Friday, Week 9. Throughout the day, we had some terrific results with many personal bests achieved. Multiple students were able to place first in their events and will be invited to represent the Tea Tree Gully District at the Metro Championships later in the year."

24.01.2022 The Heights Athletics team is competing at the annual VISTA Athletics Carnival. Some early good results and some great individual efforts.

23.01.2022 A very keen group of students came in during their holidays to attend a macaron workshop. This workshop was offered to give students new skills as they embark on their year 12 food and hospitality course next year. The macarons at the end of the lesson looked delicious, with flavours such as maple, bubble gum and chocolate. Sarah Rogers

14.01.2022 Did your child miss out on getting their photo taken on Tuesday? Students who were absent or unable to attend on Tuesday will have the opportunity to sit for their portrait this Monday 24th of February. Teachers will direct students to the resource centre as required. If you missed your family photo siblings can attend together at lunchtime, but they must have their completed family photo envelope with the correct payment enclosed.

08.01.2022 Due to last day of Term we will not be holding Breakfast Club this Friday. We’ve had a wonderful year at Breakfast Club. We would like to thank our incredible team of volunteers who arrive at school very early every Friday morning, making it possible to feed hundreds of students pancakes and toast each week. We look forward to restarting Breakfast Club next year!

08.01.2022 Ninna Marni! This year’s NAIDOC Week (National Aboriginal and Islanders Observance Committee) will be held from 8th-15th November. NAIDOC Week celebrates the history, culture, language and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. This year’s theme for NAIDOC week is ‘Always Was Always Will Be’. Please see this week’s newsletter for more information on how we will be acknowledging this important week at The Heights School.

05.01.2022 Breakfast Program will not be running on Sports Day this Friday. Instead, the Canteen will be selling bacon, egg and cheese muffins for breakfast and there will be lots of food available! A portion of the profits from food sold will be donated to the school.
