11.01.2022 On Tuesday, 19 November, the Air Quality Index in northwestern Sydney hit over 2,500, which is 12.5 times higher than the threshold for "hazardous" air quality.... Sydney-siders have been blanketed in smoke for weeks now, and as bushfires continue to burn across the state, conditions aren’t expected to ease any time soon. Climate change is making bushfire seasons longer and more severe, and hazardous air pollution is just one of the many impacts being felt by Australians.
