22.01.2022 G'day team, if you are looking for some lit reading to pass the time we have you covered. In Caravan World, Camper Australia and Australian Hunter Magazine, Heiman Habitat has articles on desert survival, DIY shockie replacement, a review of Wedgetail Campers award winning Hawk slide on camper and Kath reflects on 35 years of touring the red centre. If you are up for some more, don't forget to check magazines such as the Great Australian Outdoors and the online only Australian Bowhunters Association Inc. Magazine Archery Action.

21.01.2022 MAIL CALL! G'day Team look what just arrived in the mail today for our 1989 Land Rover 6x6 Perentie BOV project. A REDARC Electronics 2000W pure sine wave inverter! That should put some spark into her near antique electrical system. It will help charge and protect all our gear whilst on the road collecting content for magazines like Caravan World, Camper Australia, Australian Hunter Magazine, Australian Bowhunters Association Inc. and more

16.01.2022 What a great weekend to do the chimney sweep in my mountain getaway. If only... but this hut, Cootapatamba Hut is one of my favourite high country huts. And no,... it's not a chimney for smoke but for winter adventures who need emergency shelter in the snow to climb into the hut when the snow level is too high to use the door. Now I'm sure some of you have got some winter photos. Hit me with them! Pic by Graham Scully.

14.01.2022 G'Day Team, as of the 23rd of Novemeber non Victorian residents will be allowed into Victoria. So why not practice some further social isolating in the Victorian High Country? If you are unsure how you'd go alone or dont know where to stay or what route to take have you considered a Tag-a-Long Tour? We have just heard that Great Divide Tours have a couple of spots left on their 4X4 camping tour, Camper Trailer Tour and Accom Provided Tour packages. If you are unsure of what to do and would like some guidance to build you own confidence and skills, or simply want to find those secret tucked away places or need a little 4x4 training, Vic and his team are high level proffessionals and we recommend them.

14.01.2022 G'Day Team, we recently had the opportunity to put Ultimate Campers GT 360 through its paces in Duea National Park. If you are looking at getting a camper check this out and follow us to learn more about it.

10.01.2022 Many thanks to Mark TJM 4x4 WA State Manager and his team at TJM Wangara. After a bit of touring for reasons known only to itself my winch rope eye and pintle hook decided to go their separate ways. The team at Wangara had the parts we need on hand to get us back on our way with no delay!

08.01.2022 G'day Team, the latest issue of Archery Action is out! Inside you will find our regular column on Bushcraft and Survival. This issue we have continued with the mnemonic 'Please Remember Whats First' and look into bushtucker and nutrients. If you are a member of the Australian Bowhunters Association Inc. You'll get one as a part of membership. If you are not, go and ask your local newsagent to get one for you.

07.01.2022 Thinking of all our friends at the Australian Bowhunters Association Inc. National Safari and 3D at Mudgee. Have fun and may your shot placement be true.

05.01.2022 When we go travelling we're always on the lookout for meal options that include bush tucker. Be they our own creations or a croc pie at the local bakery or high end places like Dundees on the Waterfront for a special treat. Whats your favourite eat out bush tucker venue? Give them a shout out here.

04.01.2022 Again some more good advice (and education on sea turtle biology) from FNQ

04.01.2022 Survival tip 101 Gday team, when you are lost or separated in arid country the creeks can be dry - but water can remain trapped in rock pools a week after the last rains. Look for large outcrops of rock and search for depressions. Did you know that Uluru has some that permanently hold water? This was how our indigenous people could remain their for extended periods.

01.01.2022 Major flooding on the way for north-west NSW Due to recent rain; floodwaters in the Macintyre River and the Weir River are moving downstream from QLD and ...have the potential to cause major flooding along the Barwon River at Mungindi next week. As this flood water continues to move downstream major flooding may occur at Mogil Mogil and possibly Collarenebri. More detailed Predictions will be made once the upstream peaks are observed.
