11.01.2022 REFLECTIONS - In 5 days, March 25th, it will be a year since I had to close my business. This was mandated by the Government due to COVID19. I agreed with what the government did. Clients were cancelling their appointments as they were worried, I was worried as well. I spent the first 2 weeks feeling numb and lost, my purpose, my self worth had been stripped away. Three teenage boys at home all confused, missing their friends. A husband that was busier than ever packing... wine and shipping it around Australia. On the plus side, the weather was beautiful. I was supposed to be helping kids with home schooling, I did none of this at all. Instead I walked the dog, we all played cards together for hours, did a jigsaw puzzle. I started a new garden bed near the treatment room and with the help of the 2 eldest teenagers we dug ditches for the plumber so we could start the new bathroom that we have added in the treatment room. In total the business was closed for 7 weeks. When I reopened at the beginning of May I was busier than ever, it didn’t go back to normal until September. I don’t know why I feel the need to share all of this with you. I just know I now feel thankful and grateful for all that is! If you feel like telling me your reflection for this time last year please comment. I’m sure lots of us are having memory flashbacks or even feeling sad and lost again and not understanding that it is probably the psychological scars from last year coming through.

04.01.2022 Settling into the new normal It's coming up to 2 months since I was able to re-open. It has been lovely to see so many of my old clients return, and meet a number of new clients! Online booking is back up and running for all, and many have already taken advantage of this. I'm still happy to take bookings by phone, text message or facebook messenger too.... If you can't see an appointment time that fits when you look online, contact me directly - I may be able to juggle things a little, have you wait in the car until the previous client leaves to reduce that blocked time, start a little early in the morning, finish a little late in the evening. For every appointment, the calendar system automatically blocks an additional 15minutes after, to ensure that all the touch points can be sprayed with sanitiser. In the past it may have been ok to get treatment when you have a bit of a cold (upper respiratory moves could help!), it's a clear no-no these days. So if sniffles come up let me know... better to be safe for everyone! Don't forget to wear loose, light clothing, so I can do my treatment through clothes. Thank you
