05.01.2022 Corona virus A friend send me this. He received it from a friend in France, The advice comes from the Professor of Infectious Diseases in France. A message fro...m Muriel ALVAREZ, Professor of Infectious Diseases at the CHU (University Hospital Centre) METZ (France) - At present, the 4 serious cases in Metz are all young people without any existing pathology. They had all taken some anti-inflammatory at the beginning of their contamination. Therefore, it is advisable to refrain taking any anti-inflammatory in case of starting symptoms as it could move the illness towards a more severe form: Advil, Nurofen, Ketoprofen, Profenid, Voltaren, etc. Enclosed is some information from a medical researcher collaborating with the working group who are fighting the epidemic of the corona virus. Here we are giving to everyone clear, simple and accessible information describing exactly what the coronavirus is, how it can be transmitted from one person to another, and how it can be neutralised in everyday life. The infection by this virus does not provoke any cold with running nose, or a loose cough (wet cough resulting from mucus), but a dry cough. This is the easier sign to recognise it. The virus doesnt resist heat and dies if exposed to 26/27. It is recommended to have hot drinks like tea, herb tea or soup during the day, or simply hot water: hot liquids neutralise the virus. Therefore, avoid drinking icy water. And for those who can, be exposed to the sun! 1- The size of the virus is relatively large (about 400-500 nanometers diameter. Therefore, any type of face mask can stop it! In everydays life, special face masks are not necessary, ordinary face masks are enough. 2- The situation is different for doctors and health professionals who are exposed to high viral charges and they must use special equipment. 3- When the virus is on metallic surfaces, it survives around 12 hours. Therefore, when you are touching door handles, household appliances, bus railings, etc, wash your hands thoroughly and disinfect them carefully. 4- The virus could be found hidden in clothes or fabrics and can stay there around 6/12 hours. Normal detergents can kill it. For clothes that cant be washed everyday, you could expose them to the sun for a long period as the Covid 19 wont resist sunlight. HOW DOES THE COVID INFECT YOU? 1- The virus settles first in the throat, provoking an inflammation and a sensation of dry throat: this symptom can last 3 to 4 days. 2- The virus travels through the humidity found in the respiratory tracts, moves into the trachea, then settles into the lungs provoking a pneumonia. This stage lasts around 5 to 6 days. 3- Pneumonia produces a high fever, but is not accompanied by classic shivering. If you feel you are suffocating, contact your doctor immediately. HOW TO AVOID IT? 1- The transmission of the virus happens by direct contact, when touching fabrics or material on which the virus is present: it is essential to wash your hands frequently. The virus does not survive on your hands more than 10 minutes, but in 10 minutes, many things can happen: wipe your eyes or scratch your nose and so allow the virus to enter your throat: therefore, for your own good and that of others, wash your hands very often and disinfect them. 2- You can gargle with a disinfecting solution which eliminates or minimises the quantity of virus that could enter your throat, and then, eliminate it before it gets down the trachea and into your lungs. 3- Disinfect keyboards and mobile phones. Moreover, the Covid 19 may not present signs of infection for many days, during which one cant say whether a person has been infected or not. But if you have fever and if you are coughing, your lungs are already 50% affected. Experts suggest a very simple verification you can easily do every morning: take a deep breath and retain it for more than 10 seconds. If you manage it without coughing and feeling oppressed, it shows that you have no fibrosis in your lungs, which indicates the absence of infection. At times as critical as now, try to do it every morning in a clean air environment. This information and simple advice comes from medics who are dealing with patients infected by the Covid 19. Another simple tip: You must make sure to keep your throat humid or at least as least dry as possible. Drink a few mouthfuls of water at least every 15 to 20 minutes, WHY? Even if the virus penetrates your mouth, water or other liquids will carry it into the oesophagus and into the stomach. Once in the stomach, gastric acid will kill the virus. If you dont drink enough water regularly, the virus will penetrate much more easily into your lungs.
