20.01.2022 5 KEY POINTS TO MAXIMISE YOUR PROGRESS Day 5 CONSISTENCY This is probably one of the most important things to remember when starting out. Whether you've got a handle yet on the basics, whether you're putting in 50,80, or 100% focus and energy, whether you have specific goals, no matter where you're at in your journey, none ood it matters if you don't keep showing up. One of the biggest breakthroughs for me was when I changed my mindset from 'do I feel like going today' ...to 'this is the thing I do at this time'. Just like work.. sometimes you don't feel like it.. but you show up regardless. Create a routine, make the time, and just show up. One day at a time, putting one foot in front of the other, things start to change. Then add focus and discipline, goals and mindfulness to the mix and day on day , year on year, you will continue to grow to greater and greater heights! . . . #mindset #training #motivation #mindsetcoach #commitment #consistency #transformation #onedayatatime #sunshinecoastpt #fitness #womensfitness #strongbodz #fitnesssunshinecoast #sunshinecoastpt #strongmindstrongbody See more

15.01.2022 5 KEY POINTS TO MAXIMISE YOUR PROGRESS. Day 2 HAVE A GOAL To really progress in any area of life you need to have a goal, an idea of where you're going and what you're aiming for. Going through life or training without a goal is akin to floating in the river in a blow up ring. You're at the mercy of the current and have no control over where you end up. Goals take many forms and its good to have more than 1.... Long term goals are big things.. dreams you would like to achieve maybe a year or so from now. Medium term goals are things you would like to achieve in the next 3-6 months and are usually incremental goals which will get you to your long term goals Short term goals are more immediate.. what can I do today or this week or right now do get me closer to my main goals. So.. what are your goals? If you're having trouble coming up with a goal, or breaking a big goal down into manageable pieces, speak to your trainers. We're here to help.. Grab a paddle and set a destination! It's time to stop floating with the current and start taking control back . . . . . #goals #goalsetting #mindset #training #sunshinecoastpt #strongmindstrongbody #womensfitness #fitness #fitnesssunshinecoast #strongbodz #strongwomen #sunshinecoastpt See more

09.01.2022 5 KEY POINTS TO MAXIMISE YOUR PROGRESS Over the next few days I'm going to look at 5 key things you should be doing in order to maximize your progress. The first thing is GET GOOD AT THE BASICS. Just like a building needs a good foundation, so too does your training. Often we get excited about the idea of learning new exciting moves, or we get competitive and want to lift as heavy as someone else, but before we get too ahead of ourselves its important to build good strong ...basics so as to avoid injury later. For example, if you can't do a good quality body weight squat, you're probably not ready for a box jump. There are a four basic movements that are the foundation of most complex exercises. They are Push (push ups, bench press, overhead press) Pull (pull ups, rows) Hinge (deadlifts, kettlebell swings) Squat/ Lunge Its worth taking your time to perfect these movements, you may need to work on some joint mobility or stretching, strengthening certain muscles in order to perform them correctly but it's important not to skip this stage. Take the time to build a good strong foundation and the sky is the limit! . . . . #womensfitness #strongbodystrongmind #buildingthebase #ageproofing #fitness #fitnesssunshinecoast #chickswholift #trainwithpurpose #training #sunshinecoastpt See more

05.01.2022 5 KEY POINTS TO MAXIMISE YOUR PROGRESS Day 3 Every Exercise is a Full Body Exercise. I often see people performing isolation exercises such as bicep curls, overhead press etc quite poorly. This is usually because they're focusing solely on the body part targeted by the specific exercise, and forgetting about fundamental basics like core control. No matter what exercise you are doing, it is important to brace the core, ensure you have a neutral spine, keep your shoulders ...back and down etc. A small thing like lifting your eyes during a row can completely change the line of pull and therefore the muscles being targeted, but more importantly, good body control through heavier lifts will protect the back, shoulders, hips and knees from injury over time . . . . #training #trainmindfully #posture #core #goodform #womensfitness #mindset #strongbodz #strongmindstrongbody #strongwomen #sunshinecoastpt See more
