22.01.2022 He is finished! I totally love him. He has a sassy spirit, but will gently tickle your hand with his whiskers. His eyes shine with goodness and wisdom. He is magnificent. I am yet to name him, so if anything springs to mind please comment, as I cant decide! 20.01.2022 This is Raleigh Centre Stage aka Buddy, painted back in 2006! This was a Christmas present to Lesley Paxton, the owner of the stud where he was bred, he was by Woodbury Park Showtime who had the legendary The Laird as his father. I did the photography for this painting and Buddy really wasnt in the mood to have his photo taken! It took a bit of patience to get just a couple of good shots. His reward was his favorite thing, drinking coke out of the bottle! A funny and quirky horse!

19.01.2022 I painted this back in 2006. I went down to the local pony club to practice some photography and snapped these two ponies separately and I thought they would make a nice painting together and they did. I have the original as I have used it to display my art over the years, however I would be equally happy for it to now go to a new home, so if you think they might suite you just message me. It comes fully framed. 09.01.2022 So right now I know you are looking at this thinking, what the hell! Lol. Has Helen lost the plot! Well the answer is no, I haven’t! This is the first challenge of the year for the Paard Verzameld Collective It was all about drawing on the Rose period of Pablo Picasso, now I have to say I am not a fan of his work, it really doesn’t appeal to me at all. However, with some kind words from Joyce, our wonderful curator, who told me he had been a very good drawer and did do reali...sm early on I went and did some research and found a couple of paintings that I didn’t mind. So used them for inspiration. So here she is! My Picasso inspired girl. This stunning mare is owned by Nikki de Kerf - Photographer who is an amazing photographer and kindly supplied the photo for Challenge no 27. I have attached the other artists work here as well, so you can see what varied and amazing works they all produced. 08.01.2022 So in the next day or two, facebook has let me know it will be changing my page. The biggest change is that the Like button is being removed, so what that means is, if you have only Liked my page but haven’t opted to follow it, I may loose you altogether and I may disappear from your feed. So please if you want to continue to come along for the ride with me, check you settings. If I do disappear from you feed just type me into the search bar and hit follow. I feel bit c...onfused and a little scared right now, I have my fingers crossed I don’t loose anything, as FB says that not of the features I currently have are working for new pages. 07.01.2022 The handsome group 1 winning Lamasery, who retired to try his hoof at eventing. Just because certain breeds are specifically bred for certain sports does not mean that's all they can or should do. Personally I think its great to see any breed of horse competing well at any sport, as long as they are happy, healthy and living the good life and most importantly enjoying life with who ever has them.

03.01.2022 so decided to move on from the clouds, although feeling a bit happier with them now, so onto the water and a little bit of sand. Thinking the sand will be the most difficult part for sure!

Me with my painting of Glow, which has now sold. I really loved this painting and would like to do more along these lines. What do you think? should I?
