25.01.2022 Essential viewing on what you can do to assist in this pandemic. Your actions matter. Please share widely. This is not about whether you get sick, it's about whether our health services will cope.

25.01.2022 Our Norfolk Island Pines are in strife. The Town is responding but needs the help of the community to identify ailing trees early. Please read the info below about how you can assist.

25.01.2022 The new path is a great way for kids to get to school. Most schools in the area have easy links to the path. Far from being a freeway it is a friendly shared space with people of all ages and abilities using it. Check it out.

23.01.2022 It's happening! Signs are up for the next stage of the shared path from Perth to Port. We can't wait to stop sharing our journey with trucks. Thanks to all thos...e who helped make this happen. #investincycling #SpaceForHealth This project, worth $6 million, had been delayed but is one of many that have been fast-tracked to support jobs during COVID-19. In addition, Main Roads is fast-tracking the tendering process of some other large-scale road projects including the replacement of the old Fremantle Traffic Bridge (budget $230 million and 1400 jobs). This is great news as it will complete the Perth to Port Cycle and Pedestrian path. https://www.mediastatements.wa.gov.au//Major-projects-fast

19.01.2022 Great community event. Dont miss the Cott Film Festival season.

15.01.2022 Huge thanks to WA Police Officers who will be at Cottesloe Beach over Easter ensuring people are physically distanced. Their message to Perth "Come another weekend instead. If you do come stay a short time. Maintain your physical distance." If the beaches get closed they will stay closed for some time. Let's not mess this up Perth.

15.01.2022 Join this group for if you work or live in Cottesloe. Moderated by health professionals it is a great way to gain information and offer an give support. https://www.facebook.com/groups/194181262001472/

15.01.2022 My knitting talents can be put to use. Finally!

14.01.2022 I'm interested in people providing feedback on this. A motion is being brought to Council this month to enable more alfresco dining in Cottesloe by allowing restaurant owners extra space on footpaths or carbays in appropriate locations.

14.01.2022 New entry statement in South Cottesloe. "She sells sea shells" is a fabulous way to welcome people to our suburb. @sculpturebythesea #thisiscottesloe #sculpture

13.01.2022 You’re invited to take part in a study to assist State and Local Government gather state-wide baseline and informing data to understand changing needs and prior...ities in the local community during the COVID-19 pandemic. 12.01.2022 Interesting take on the long term impacts of the Covid19 Pandemic. Heres hoping. https://mobile.abc.net.au//how-coronavirus-could/12137122

12.01.2022 Thought I would like people to have the opportunity to read the letter to the editor that I have already sent for publication in the Post, regarding an article that I was in this week. "Thank you for publishing the article regarding the community consultations for Cottesloes Village Precinct Plan and Local Planning Strategy Discussion Paper in last weeks post under the headline What do you want in Cott? Readers will notice that Councillor Young and I are not 2 metres apa...rt. It is important for them to know that the photo was taken on the 10th of March and three editions of the Post have since been published. Times have changed rapidly, as have priorities. As a GP, I would like to reassure people that Councillor Young and myself practise health measures proven to limit the spread of Covid 19 and encourage others to do the same. In the intervening time we have been preparing our work places and the Town of Cottesloe for the Covid19 pandemic to ensure that the community is well cared for and supported. I wish both the Post and its readers strength and courage in the coming months. Kindness and team work will get us through this. Helen Sadler Cottesloe Councillor" POST Newspaper

10.01.2022 What can we do to help achieve social justice and equality for Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islanders during Covid19? I don't feel comfortable at mass gatherings during a pandemic. We can join the reconciliation movement. Our family has all joined Reconciliation WA www.recwa.org.au

10.01.2022 Have you been yet?

09.01.2022 Im interested in people providing feedback on this. A motion is being brought to Council this month to enable more alfresco dining in Cottesloe by allowing restaurant owners extra space on footpaths or carbays in appropriate locations.

09.01.2022 #spaceforhealth .... More space for people to walk and bike. Never been more important. Please support this. Let me know your views.

09.01.2022 Our Administration office reopened this morning. It is considered that the risk of reopening the office is low, however there is a very real risk of a second wa...ve (and possibly more) of COVID-19 and we ask our community to be mindful of that moving forward. If there is an outbreak of the virus in Perth, or a cluster in the Western Suburbs, we will need to return to an appointment only opening capacity. This may occur in the coming months and we will do our best to keep our community informed as things change. We do ask that you continue to access services online or over the phone in the first instance and please do not visit the Administration office if you are feeling unwell or have any COVID-19 related symptoms. Office opening hours are Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4.30pm. See more

09.01.2022 Your feedback on the Cottesloe leg of the Shared Path is sought.

07.01.2022 Committee for Perth released its Boorloo Kworp - Perth is Good report. It suggests Perth must be ambitious and build a world centre for indigenous culture in the next 2 years as it's "one big thing". Great idea.

07.01.2022 Getting exercise. Being outdoors. Not contributing to the road congestion. Reducing risk of catching or spreading Covid19 on public transport . Part of a constructive community response to a pandemic that can help counter fear and uncertainty.

06.01.2022 Welcome to Cottesloe! The outdoor crew at the Town have done a fabulous job of creating a landscaped entry statement at Cottesloe station.

06.01.2022 Great community event. Don't miss the Cott Film Festival season.

06.01.2022 PLASTIC WASTE DUMPED ON COTT BEACHES A huge amount of plastic waste has washed up on Cottesloe beaches by the recent storm. If you have any time to help clean ...up it would be fantastic ... Take the family or dog for a walk grab a bucket or bag. The plastic will only be on the beach for a few days before it's reclaimed by the sea. So let's get to it. North Cott Surf Club run a clean up called "Take 3 For the Sea" so if you collect waste please place it in the special "TAKE 3" bins on the ocean side of the club so they can sort, weigh and log it. The beach thanks you.

06.01.2022 Were going along tonight to check out this powerful documentary. Want to go but dont have company? Message me or see you there!

04.01.2022 Update on the Norfolk Island Pines. Will follow-up as more information becomes available. I think we need a coordinated response working with other local governments.

03.01.2022 Great idea to get physical distancing happening in high traffic areas. Appetite in Cottesloe for this ......?

02.01.2022 Great to see that Infrastructure Australia prioritises cycling infrastructure for funding. Widespread rollout of safe cycle routes is critical to create healthy cities. WestCycle #investincycling
