23.01.2022 FIRST GRADE GAME UPDATES Very proud of our boys efforts on Saturday. Up against a classy Ryde outfit who are the reigning premiers and this year minor premiers we left it all out on the field. A few mistakes cost us, but our grit and resolve kept us in the fight right up to the final whistle.... Lachlan Peachey was absolutely outstanding in the middle, claiming players player, while Azan never stopped trying and proved a real handful, taking out man of the match. A very enjoyable season, we achieved a lot and had a lot of fun along the way. A huge thanks to everyone involved in getting us on the park each and every week, especially our tireless committee! #BurghTigers #YourtownYourteam

17.01.2022 We are in desperate need of people to come and participate in a fundraiser for Tigers Rugby League club TONIGHT for either 7 or 8pm at the Soccer Club House. It will involve eating 7 different lamb grill samples and rating these on a survey. It will take no longer than an hour and afterwards the football club will receive $1000. The samples that you will try are coming from Australian producers than are wanting genuine feedback from Australian consumers. ... Please contact Sally Bell on 0431905329 if you are interested.

08.01.2022 Many of you would by now have seen yesterday's Illawarra Mercury article concerning our Third Grade's Grand Final on Sunday. Last night the Executive met with the team and coaching staff to discuss the issue. Further information has come to light. We’re drafting a submission requesting a review of the decision. This will be submitted to the Illawarra Board this morning. The boys trained last night and will train on Thursday in the event this request is successful.... Heavy fog played a part this week but the team adapted well and scored some good team tries and their defence was good across the Park. Well done girls. 04.01.2022 THE VB BOYS ARE OFF TO THE GF We were excited all week for this game knowing we had an opportunity to put ourselves in a position to play in the Grand Final the following week. Our energy and push around the ball was much better, which helped us go to a 26 - 4 lead at half-time. Throughout the match the boys stayed composed when needed and following a couple of tries in the second half we had sealed the game. After the match, the boys were over the moon knowing we had made ...the Big Dance and are looking forward to the week ahead. Big thanks again to Baldy and Magoo for helping us out with strapping.
