25.01.2022 Can you guess our monthly theme? Yep your right! Insects.... The children were drawn in with their natural curiosity to investigate the different bugs and insects in this mornings play dough. They enjoyed pushing the into dough to create imprints of the insects. They then developed their cognitive skills to sort and classify whether the insects was a flying or non flying bug. We also did the magic painting snail trail artwork from My Creative Box! What a fun day...

25.01.2022 Today we were totally booked with all age ranges starting from 2 to 8 years... we used shapes to make a city scape, our cognitive skills to piece together printed cuttings of a ballerina , block building using our fine motor skills and loads more learning experiences outdoors.. great day had by all 7 children!

24.01.2022 This month's theme is Under The Sea! So we explored our senses with shaving foam sea with sea creatures, we used stepping stones to pretend we were walking the plank and grass was water with sharks we read Peppa Pig Underwater adventures and sand some new fishy songs...

23.01.2022 Final week of our insect theme- we kicked it off with a B for Bee, pollen transfer counting, insect sensory play- which encouraged the children to name and label the insects they found with the magnifying glass , we read Incy Wincy Spider and sans a bumble bee song.. lots of fun and giggles for everyone

23.01.2022 Wooohhhoooo Halloween is just around the corner, so we started early! Exploring creepy crawling objects, bats and rats, eyeball and witches hats through a sensory play experience, we made witches soup in our cauldron's. Then we made scary monster using our My Creative Box shape activity.

23.01.2022 Following on with our Ocean Theme- today we learnt about the lifecycles of a turtle and crab the children understood the sequencing order and nailed this activity with so much interest. They coloured in use oil pastels and then glued them into order.

20.01.2022 Busy busy busy at our Halloween theme.. we made sensory witches stew out of black rice and pumpkin kernels and sorted out by counting eye balls, spiders, cockroaches and bones .We read Room on the Broom and sung fun songs. Loads of cackles today..

19.01.2022 Learning our numbers and quantities through number hole punching.. we picking a number out and guess the number, then hole punch the correct quantity on the number card. Great work girls

18.01.2022 Full of fun learning day.. loads of letter recognition, fine motor skills, group time with books and frozen fever floor play..

18.01.2022 Using our fine motor skills to roll and cut kinetic sand, and later using more fine motor skill to begin pincer grip hold to colour our pig and using our language and cognitive skills to guess shapes and count the amount of shapes! Loads of learning and loads of fun!

18.01.2022 Crossed off all our learning skill area's today- gross motor outdoor, fine motor indoor painting, name tracing and whiteboard drawing We had excellent social interactions at our story time and flash cards, singing some great songs ABC and days of the week.. then finished off with some group shape recognition. Loads of learning in such little time

17.01.2022 Today we had a shape treasure hunt! The children were asked to find objects around the room that matched the shapes drawn on paper taped to the floor.. they were all so creative and a excellent group activity. This also helped to gain confidence to speak in a group setting. Excellent way to teach shape recognition..

16.01.2022 We have limited numbers and are filling up fast in June/July 2020! Because we are have small numbers of children they experience more one on one learning and quality of care, whilst developing close relationships with other children similar in age. It's a great way to introduce your child to outside home care, where they can thrive by being supported in a environment that's safe and fun. 16.01.2022 Monday went so quick, but we enjoyed making black cats using our grip on cotton buds to paint our cats.. The children enjoyed making marks and patterns and talking about the colour black...

14.01.2022 We started Christmas early and made some paper plate snowman they turned out so great! The children loved as they added materials to see it coming together. They used their gross motor skills learning to use balance and rotation of each leg on the scooters

14.01.2022 Our planned day was full of learning experiences such as musical instruments and song, puppet play songs, sizing up cars, creative mask making and shaving foam sensory play.

11.01.2022 Today we have made a goop stew and the children enjoyed using their senses to touch the oowweeyy goooey textures. They had a barbie party too and then went outside to pick fresh tomatoes and play Elsa and her frozen castle on playground.
