16.01.2022 From 15 April 2019, new rules will apply to casuals in the Horticulture Award following a decision by the Fair Work Commission. The ordinary hours of work are n...ow defined for casual employees. Casuals will be entitled to overtime if they work: in excess of 12 hours per engagement 12 hours in a single day 304 ordinary hours over an 8 week period. A 15% loading will also apply for night time work. The Commission has also clarified that casuals working on a public holiday are entitled to a loading of 225% (this is inclusive of their casual loading).
