We loved the opportunity to showcase how we apply technology in unique and innovative ways and to share our passion and commitment to continuous skilling and education of not only our team, but the up and coming talent across our community. Her visit was followed by an insightful group discussion with a group of Caloundra Chamber of C...ommerce members, representing leading businesses in the community, which was a great opportunity to share collective insights and challenges. 24.01.2022 A big thank you to Travis County STAR Flight and Leonardo Helicopters for allowing us to demonstrate a prototype of our Powered Aero Loader technology for the AW169. Weve had a lot of interest and positive feedback from both paramedics and operators so far, and look forward to further developing our new solution into the future.

This month marks one year of our Powered Aero Loader being in service with Ornge across their Leonardo AW139 fleet, helping to improve both paramedic safety and patient care across the province of Ontario. One of Leannes roles is as Co-Chair of the Global Future Council on the Future of Manufacturing for the World Economic Forum.... It was brilliant to gain not only Leannes global insights as part of this role and her broader experience, but also her views on how she sees HeliMods as an exemplar company actively demonstrating the future of manufacturing right here in Queensland.

Yesterday, HeliMods dropped off a batch of 50 x 3D printed headframes to the Arc Hardware Incubator that will go on to form protective face shields for frontline staff across Metro North. 14.01.2022 We could not be prouder to have helped our local Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH) to be the first in Australia to implement our innovative stretcher bridge solution in road ambulance transfers for critically ill children from one hospital to another. Wishlist CEO Lisa Rowe said: Currently, transport of children relies heavily on a team dispatched from Brisbane which can take up to eight hours on average. In an intensive care scenario, these critical hours and minute...s, can make all the difference. With the help of this stretcher bridge and associated equipment, a patient will soon be able to be put on a stretcher and intensive care staff can secure a ventilator, monitor and other life-saving equipment to provide the best care in transit. This will also avoid any hazards such as pulling lines or tubes while the patient and teams are mobile. HeliMods first developed the stretcher bridge for application in air ambulance helicopters, which has been implemented by major air ambulance operators globally, including Ornge in Canada. 14.01.2022 Great to see our own intern and HeliMods Porsche 911 GT3 driver Harri Jones still making the most of his time off-track with lots of virtual sim time! Harri has been staying match-fit through hundreds of hours both training and racing on the virtual sim, with sim racing now exploding around the world. Our MD Will Shrapnel represented both HeliMods and the UNESCO Biosphere Nomination Community Reference Group, which he Chaired this year, resulting in what was an outstanding, collaborative nomination on behalf of the Sunshine Coast community. Our Head of Strategic Engagement Sandra Arico represented both HeliMods and the next generation... of leaders on the Sunshine Coast, helping to contribute actively to our community and to the growth of our economy for future generations. It was a great opportunity to share stories and insights and to speak genuinely about the great things our region is achieving. 13.01.2022 SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: HeliMods will undergo a $10.3M expansion at our Sunshine Coast facility, with support announced today from the State Government's Jobs and Regional Growth Fund, creating up to 68 high value jobs over the next 5 years. The team was very excited to make this special announcement earlier this morning with the Deputy Premier, the Hon Steven Miles MP, along with local MP's Jason Hunt and Rob Skelton.... This expansion will support HeliMods to further build a deep pipeline of work for our growing civil customer base, as well as scale up into higher value Defence contracts, enabling us to further establish ourselves as a significant player across the aerospace and Defence industries. 09.01.2022 Its brilliant to see our powered stretcher loading technology referenced in this article, which shares insights into how Ornge and other key air ambulance operators have been dealing with COVID-19 transfers. Ornge has transported over 200 COVID patients, with approx. 20% of these moved in their AW139s, which feature our Powered Aero Loader technology: "While fixed-wing pilots have a high rate of PPE burn, its much lower with rotary-wing. Helicopter pilots dont usually ha...ve to help with patient onboarding due to the AW139s self-loading stretcher system." 08.01.2022 This morning, we were fortunate to have our local Federal MP, Andrew Wallace - LNP Federal Member for Fisher come by to announce our success in receiving a $150,000 Defence Global Competitiveness Grant. This grant has enabled us to purchase a new Vertical Machining Centre, which gives us the capability to now machine larger, more complex parts that are critical to our growth both locally and in international export markets. This machine has already delivered significant value... for us, including a recent project involving the production and delivery of large components for the Australian Defence Forcess cargo helicopter, the CH-47 Chinook. We are grateful for the support from the Federal Government and have no doubt that the introduction of this technology is just the next step in our global growth journey.

03.01.2022 We are so excited to have kicked off a brand new initiative this week at the The University of Queensland! UQ is one of the leading universities to recently receive a grant from Siemens, enabling students to access the latest in their Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) technology suite. As one of the most advanced users of the Siemens PLM tech stack in the country - and passionate advocates of industry-led learning - the HeliMods team has decided to embark on a pro bono miss...ion to share with students our applied knowledge and hands on skills working with this software in a real-world context. We have collaborated with the brilliant students from UQ Space and UQ Racing Formula SAE Team to bring together student teams and skilled HeliMods engineers in an immersive 10-week program. Using the Siemens software in a live environment, students are being mentored through hands-on sessions working on their current Rocketry and Formula SAE design challenges. Tuesday night was the first of the sessions and a fantastic evening of collaborative and interactive learning. Were especially proud of the students, who together with us, are dedicating their time outside of their standard university courses to help advance their understanding and skillset in solving complex challenges using industry-leading technology. They won highest performing robot in Australia and the top Inspire award for all their work in local, national and international STEM development through robotics!
