16.01.2022 Support Local Business & Buy Australian Made... Here at Helismart we have made a conscious decision to support local business, buy Australian made if possible AND importantly support our Aussie Farmers! If you are looking for premium quality work shirts check out the Pilbara Collection by Ritemate Workwear Australia - the cool thing is you can scan the QR code and enter the bale number on the label & it will tell you the region in Australia the cotton was grown to make the s...hirt! We also purchase our work shirts & have them embroidered from Golders Australia a local family owned Dalby business. WHY? Because we want to support our local businesses economy and keep local people employed. What we love about these shirts... Made from Australian grown Cotton Comfortable & cool to wear Extra large pockets that fit your phone Excellent quality & long lasting #supportaussiemade #supportaussiefarmers #buylocal #cottonaustralia

16.01.2022 This week we are giving a local high school student Hugh Gleeson from Our Lady of the Southern Cross College Dalby an insight into our industry with school work experience. Hugh is getting some hands on experience (supervised at all times of course ) and may get a chance to go for a fly. With a National shortage of Helicopter Engineers in Australia we encourage young people to look at this as a career option if you are interested check out the course requirements for Certif...icate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical). Check out Aviation Australia for information on courses & requirements... https://www.aviationaustralia.aero/

16.01.2022 All good things must come to an endJosh French AKA Minti has left the hanger. Minti joined us in 2017 when we only had 2 machines on the books, he came to us as a contractor and then we somehow convinced him to join the team. It was never going to be a long term gig as you can’t take the Kimberly out of the kid, he had a goal to get licensed and told us from the beginning as soon as he had his ticket he would head back home. ... So that day has come, Minti leaves us with significantly more machines on the books, his license and a few personal & professional life lessons. Minti it has been a wild ride, we have seen some massive growth and you helped us build Helismart to what it is today. We will all miss your wacky sense of humour, uplifting happy vibes, the animal calls, and the often inappropriate behaviour around the hanger. Most of all we will miss your knowledge, enthusiasm and passion for helicopters. You are a fabulous engineer and we would like to wish you all the very best in your new role with Top End Mustering. Thank you Minti for your contribution you will be greatly missed however there are too many funny stories for you to be forgotten

07.01.2022 A big 'THANK YOU' to the Aviation Trader team for once again advertising Kieran's Scholarship. Spread the word far and near!

07.01.2022 R U OK? 2020 has been a challenging year for everyone and circumstances have made it even more important for us all to stay connected and, for those who are able, be willing to support those around us. If you feel like something’s not quite the same with someone you know there’s something going on in their life or you notice a change in what they’re saying or doing - trust that gut instinct and take the time to ask them Are you OK? If someone says they’re not OK, make time to listen, encourage action and check in. That conversation could change, or even save, their life.

06.01.2022 We are at tail end of this 2200 hour inspection and have enjoyed watching the progress of its makeover! What a colour! #robinsonr44 #robinsonhelicopters #helismart #helicopterrebuild
