24.01.2022 Only 4 days left until we close our doors for good. I'm feeling very, very sad. I'm also feeling very overwhelmed with the daunting task of clearing out the hall! Most of the shop fittings have sold now, except for the black counters and a few smaller bits and pieces, but we have a lot of stock left which I would love to see gone! From today, we have 40% off ALL existing stock, even balloons. This doesn't include custom made banners and invitations. Please share this post for me. Thank you xx

23.01.2022 GIANT HUGE AMAZING GARAGE SALE! Hamley Bridge institute. Today and tomorrow. Selling the left over items donated to the bush fire victims. Proceeds will go towards the hire of a container to store furniture, etc. for those who lost their homes until they get new homes. I know it's hot but come have a look - there is so much to go.

23.01.2022 We have been busy sorting out stock for sale, as well as lots of things from behind the scenes. I will add pictures shortly. These are the discounted prices of all our balloons. I know it's hot out there, but it's lovely and cool in here!

23.01.2022 We have officially closed, but I will be in the shop for at least tomorrow, most of the day and Monday morning. There are still heaps of balloons, decorations, etc. left so if you want to stock up for your next few parties call in to see me.

21.01.2022 You, my customers, my friends, are truly amazing. I asked for help for a local family who lost their home on the fire and you came through big time. Rachel was in tears today when she saw my car so full of toys, books, clothes, shoes, microwave, tumble dryer and more. She asked me to thank you from the bottom of her heart. There was so much, too much for her needs so I took the excess to the local institute for the other families who lost their homes. We are still tak...ing donations at the shop for all families affected by the fire which I will take to Hamley Bridge. These are the sort of things needed - kitchen items (crockery, cutlery, containers, utensils, saucepans, etc.), linen for beds, pillows, quilts, towels, furniture, toiletries, cleaning products, small electrical appliances, decorations ... whatever you can think of to set up a house from scratch. Hair things for the ladies - hair dryers, straighteners, brushes, spray, etc. Packs of new underwear are a great idea too! And tools. Some of these families don't even have a screw driver. 21.01.2022 For anyone who has offered to donate furniture to the families who lost their homes in the fire, please contact Brook who will pick it up and deliver to Hamley Bridge institute. Hi Guys, I'm putting it out to social media as I don't know where to go or who to contact, someone might see it and share, please feel free to. I am a furniture removalist in the Lewiston area and obviously have a furniture truck, what I am offering is my services free over the weekend to help anyone within the Pinery fire area. 18.01.2022 Thank you everyone for your messages asking if we are OK. The roads into Hamley Bridge were opened late last night and against advice, we decided we would go back to our house. We found the timber posts in our sheds on fire and were able to put them out before our water supply was cut, so we are very, very lucky. Water and power came back on tonight, so all is almost normal apart from the smell of smoke and the ash everywhere. Woolworths in Gawler donated bottles of water, sa...usages, bread, butter, bacon and eggs to me this morning to bring back to Hamley Bridge. We cooked a BBQ sausage sizzle at the Institute and had more than 40 people come along for tea and company. A young family only 4 houses away from ours has lost everything in the fire. Their house was totally destroyed. I am collecting donations for them and other families affected by the fire, so if anyone is able to donate things like non-perishable groceries, toiletries, cleaning products, towels, kitchen utensils ... anything you can think of that you would need to replace if you were in the same position, please drop it off to us at The Helium House and I will make sure it all gets to those who need it. A big thank you to Heather for once again taking the reigns at THH (Wonder Woman) and to Brooke and Meagan for being there for us. xxx And to Pat for once again doing all the deliveries for us so our customers get their new balloons on time. 14.01.2022 Tomorrow is our last official day! I will be here on Sunday though if you want to call in and see what we have left. Hopefully it will be cooler then. I'm not sure what hours I'll be here yet so maybe give us a call to check. Photo 85233800

11.01.2022 Tonight I said goodbye to The Helium House. People have asked me in the last few days how I am feeling and with all honesty I said I was just fine. Now the hall is empty of balloons and all things party I am feeling just as empty, very sad to see such a wonderful and happy chapter of my life come to an end. Thank you all for your support during the last 9 years. I won't ever forget the chats, the laughs and sometimes the tears. Merry Christmas to you all. Stay safe. Annette xxx

07.01.2022 This is Hamley Bridge today. Sirens still going off now and then but we are safe. I decided to stay at home today, just in case. If anyone still wants to donate to people who lost their homes, these are the things most needed ... Cat litter Children's snacks Non perishable food... Kitchen items (utensils, electrical appliances, pots and pans, containers, etc. , tools (both shed and garden) Thank you x

05.01.2022 So I called into The Helium House today and once again completely filled my car with your donations. You lot rock big time! Something the family with 4 young children who lost everything in the fire need is wardrobes. Without wanting to sound rude, they do need to be in good condition because they will be used until insurance is sorted out and a new house is built. If anyone has a wardrobe they would like to donate, please send me a photo so I can show the family. It's going to be hot tomorrow. I am staying home to keep an eye on things, worried about smouldering trees close by. Xxx

02.01.2022 If anyone is interested in these cute puppies, pm me and I will put you in touch with the owner. Malamute x Husky puppies. Currently 5 weeks old 3 boys - 1 x grey, 2 x black & white 4 girls - 1 x grey, 3 x black & white... Mum is a pure bred Husky with no papers. Dad is a pure bred Malamute with papers. Both Mum and Dad lived in my home for a while. Mum is the sweetest, most gentle dog you could imagine. Beautiful with smaller dogs and even tiny kittens. Dad was still a pup when he left so was an energetic bundle and very loving. Both parents are owned by my son and have great temperaments, taken to dog parks regularly to socialise and are available for a "meet and greet" by anyone interested in a pup. Dad is 1 year old, Mum is 2. Pups will be available for sale when they are 8 weeks old and vaccinated. Just one thing. These dogs are all very well loved and would all be kept if it was possible, so my son will only sell the pups to people who have the time to spend playing and exercising them. 01.01.2022 We have had to close The Helium House for the rest of the day because of the fire. Heather's son has been evacuated from his school and Roseworthy is under threat. I am heading home to Hamley Bridge because I have been warned that roads may be closed in the area. Sorry for any inconvenience. Annette

01.01.2022 Sooo much stuff to move out of this shop! Remember we have 30% off storewide. This excludes balloons, custom made and hire items. I will be keeping all of the wedding hire items but most shop fittings have to go. If you are interested in anything let us know and we will contact you.

01.01.2022 Just about all packed up. I have a heap of "give aways" for a donation to the Pinery Bushfire fund. Also posie box displays for $5. I am hoping to only be here until 11ish.
