22.01.2022 Book launch: ‘1453: Constantinople & the Immortal Rulers’ written by documentary maker, Billy Cotsis. 29 October, 6.45 pm for 7:00 pm at Hellenic Art Theatre ...Historian Leonard Janiszewski will officially launch the book, which is hosted by the Greek Bilingual Bookshop RSVP to the organizers ASAP as limited 50 person event. The main objective is to promote what the siege was about, what Constantinople was and how the events of 1453 impacted Hellenes. The book is written as a fictional novel. Light catering will be available. Entry is free, book is available at a reduced rate on the night. The new film, Magna Graecia: the Greko of Calabria will also play in the background.

19.01.2022 On Friday afternoon at Addi Road we were fortunate to be able to gather safely in the wonderful Greek Theatre to reflect on mental health and creativity in the ...tough times we are living in. This on-stage conversation was part of a week of events in our Community.a.Fair program, supported by @InnerWestCouncil. We'd like to send out a strong and heartfelt thank-you to all four speakers - Fran Middleton, Oliver Mol, Caitlin Marshall and Sam Zubrycki - for sharing their time, thoughts and compassion, our own Mark Mordue for hosting the conversation, La Boheme for sharing the joy of live music and to the appreciative, supportive audience. The message expressed by Caitlin, founder of @Makeshift and speaking in this photo, that MAKING ART IS GOOD FOR all of us -- and not something only people deemed GOOD AT it should do -- resonated and ran through the afternoon.
