21.01.2022 Dear Members & Friends As our priority is the health and well being of our members, patrons and staff and based on the updates surrounding the Covid-19 virus, the Board and Management have decided to implement further precautions and close the 4th Floor, Member’s Lounge effective from 7pm on Friday 20 March 2020, for an indefinite period. The decision was made to protect our members who frequent the lounge who are mostly elderly and are deemed to be vulnerable to the virus. ...As per the advice provided by NSW Health, people with underlying illnesses that make them more vulnerable to respiratory disease, including those with diabetes, chronic lung disease, kidney failure, people with suppressed immune systems and older people are at a higher risk of serious disease. As such in order to reduce the risk to our members, their families, friends and our staff we have decided to close until further notice. We encourage all our elderly members to self-isolate at home to minimise any chance of being exposed to the Covid-19 virus. We have communicated this decision to our members and have provided them with the relevant information in respect of the virus. We thank everyone for their cooperation and understanding during this time. We will keep everyone informed with any updates.
