23.01.2022 Hi Leo and Geordie of Glenelg - they are inseparable ... My Hello Jackie Cat Concierge service includes 30 minutes of time spent with the cats either once or twice a day. I also have a range of toys that I keep in the car - sometimes they seem to like to play with different toys than those they have in their own home. The 30 minutes includes cleaning their bowls, feeding them, changing or cleaning out the litter, brushing them (if needed) and having cuddles and or playtime. I also do things like water the plants, take in the bins or check the letterbox. Let me take care of your cat/s next time you go away for work or holidays - I don't use casual sitters - it's just me. 23.01.2022 Meet Mogsie ... Mogsie probably has been the most talkative of the cats I have looked after recently. Every day when I arrived at his house, he would greet me at the front door and pretty much have a conversation with me as I prepared his food and then follow me around as I watered the pot plants for his owner. I always thought it was more female cats that had more to say. He was also not backward in coming forward - and also got to know in the 5 days that I looked after ...him, that I would bring some of the Salmon Greenies for him each day and after he finished his food, he would go and sit by my bag to wait for his Greenies... PS - Mogsie asked me to add them onto his owners's shopping list for future use... Bookings starting to fill up already for Easter (can you believe there is already Hot Cross Buns in stores), so if you are thinking about heading away for a break over Easter or the School holidays, give me a call and I'd love to help you out. 18.01.2022 On a recent trip to PetStock in Adelaide I was given a sample of a newish cat litter on the market. (I'm always trying different cat litters as our gorgeous girl Simmy is getting older and as we now live in an apartment, she is much more reliant on her litter tray and sometimes it's hard to combat that ammonia smell from her pee). We were using crystal litter and we also noticed that she seemed to keep going in the same place each time... Initially, I just poured the new ...sample litter in her existing litter tray, and waited for her response. Well, over a period of a couple of days, we noticed that she was going in a variety of spaces, but there was also hardly any smell. Yay.. I've since checked out reviews of this litter and mostly seen 5 stars from nearly every user. So check out this video to learn more about Catmate and it's companion litter tray. 18.01.2022 Our visit to the Cat Cafe in Tokyo We have just returned from a trip to Japan and as any cat lover would do we visited one of the cat cafe's in Tokyo. If you didn't know - there's quite a number of cafes in many of the big cities. We were unsure what to expect, but found it on the fourth level of a building in Shinjuku. On arrival we were shown the menu which included paying by minutes, whether or not you wanted to dine in the cafe and if we wanted to purchase treats for th...e cats. After changing into slippers and locking our bags away, we entered the glassed cafe to experience a whole host of perfectly groomed cats lounging on window sills, lying in canopies hanging from the ceiling and others engaging with out guests with the multitude of play toys in the cafe. Most of the cats were friendly and happy to engage, eat some treats and generally pose for photos, but the day we were there, two of the cats got into a huge hissy fit, which all the other cats (and the staff working at the cafe) were oblivious too. We assumed it must be a regular event, and no one seemed to get hurt. Anyway if you are headed to Japan, I'd suggest a visit - not only to see the gorgeous cats, but to experience another facet of Japanese culture. Here's a few pics from our visit xx

17.01.2022 Some very dear friends of ours are looking for a new forever home for their two gorgeous rag doll cats. Jazz and Monty - 1 boy and 1 girl(both desexed) are approximately 3.5 years old, and due to a relocation for our friends they are not able to keep them. Monty is a Male Silver Point Ragdoll and Jazz is a Female Chocolate Point. They are wanting someone who is ideally home a lot of the time to love and care for them. They are not wanting to have them separated and they ar...e not for resale. They have been used to having people around all the time and love cuddles and of course company. If you are interested or know of someone who is, if you reply to me with your details and I will pass them on to our friends. I have known them since they were kittens, and they are very affectionate, love a cuddle and like most cats like to rule the roost. I just hope they can find their new forever home ... 15.01.2022 Oh how gorgeous...

15.01.2022 I've been doing my Hello Jackie Cat Concierge business for a little while now, and have been amused at the habits, routines and food preferences of our furry friends. As well as the instructions and tips I get from the owners on how their cats like to be fed, put to bed and groomed. I've added a few anecdotes here, but it would be good for my Facebook friends to share some of their stories too. Skittles loves grated cheese, but is a bit of an escape artist, so to ensure that... I could get out the door safely, I was told to give him some grated cheese to distract him in the process. Gypsy liked to have a dark towel put over her pod so she could fall asleep in total darkness (I can remember doing that with my kids)... Cashew likes her food placed on top of the washing machine and Jemina would only eat when no one is watching her! Last week I looked after two cats that lived in a fully automated house. Robot litter tray, automatic dry food dispenser and one of those cute water fountains. I didn't really get to see the cats much as all their needs had pretty much been taken care of, but wow I was impressed by the automatic litter tray. 15.01.2022 I've had a very busy few weeks looking after lots of beautiful cats throughout the lead up to Christmas and over the break. It's always great when you open the door and they are waiting to see you (and of course get their food). Here's a few of the gorgeous faces that have greeted me each morning. Jonah waiting patiently while I organised his food. Dolly can't wait to get her Dine treat each day, Mimi playing with the Lindt ribbon after Christmas, and Jemima can't take her eyes off her favourite variety of dry food. 14.01.2022 Meet Spud... I looked after him for 3 weeks when his owner went overseas. He was hilarious and such a character. He was always so grateful to see you each day, and would throw himself on the floor as you walked in ready to have his belly rubs. Like us all he loved attention - and when I would stop patting him, he would reach out with his paw and nudge me to keep going. Oh and what a face and gorgeous eyes!!! 12.01.2022 I get asked often about the pet carrier/bed that people see when visiting our home or when we take our cat Simmy to the vet. Well it's a Sleepy Pod and it's been the best investment for our cat who is a bit creaky now as she is getting older. It has a heat pad in the bottom of the pod and you can plug in to a power point to have heat 24/7. It doubles as a pet carrier with the zip on lid, and it's great too if you want to take the cat in the car. 05.01.2022 One of the things I always enjoy asking when booking new Cat Concierge jobs is the name of the cat or cats and then I start imagining what they will be like based on their names and why my clients called them that particular name... Crazy I know - but I guess that's what we do too in human land, and how often do we imagine what someone is like by the sound of their voice? In the last few weeks alone - here are some of the cats names that I've cared for. Gypsy, Little Dolly Parton, Clementine, Skittles, Cashew, Blaxland, Juno, Simi, Bella Bella and Jemima. How about you - what are some of your cats names and what has influenced your choice of name?

03.01.2022 As a cat lover and also a cat carer, cat sitter and cat feeder, I just love the Alessi Tigrito Cat bowl. It's not only stylish, but works well for people who have trouble bending down to pick up their cats bowls - all you need to do is pick it up by the tail section. The removable stainless steel bowls are also perfect for wet food, dry food or even water. They are great for going in the dishwasher too. This is one of our clients cats eating from her Tigrito bowl. Our cat Simmy has had her Tigrito for about 4 years and it is still in perfect condition. Oh and the Tigrito's come in a host of colours. They are available from good gift stores and most department stores in the Alessi section.
