22.01.2022 Helloooooo Monday! I find these cards hard to make...... A sympathy card for my team member Jan who lost her 99 year old mother last week. I didn't want to make it too fancy or over the top, something really simple that just got the message across. I find white is always soothing and a peaceful colour so I teamed it with the Dandelions Embossing Folder and a sentiment. I felt that was all that was needed.... I visited her with a bunch of flowers and I sat and listed to Jan speak of memories of her mother over a coffee. 19.01.2022 Hellooooo Friday! This is another quick and easy one I made with my team to demonstrate a great way to use up some pretty papers. I only did a small bit of stamping on this card with just the sentiment. The floral image was "Fussy Cut"...yes you heard that right...I fussy cut that floral image! Anyone who knows me knows I DO NOT like to fussy cut AT ALL. But I needed that floral piece for this card so it had to be done. I love the result though.... I have CASE'd this card from "Lets Stamp" and changed it up a little from the original. The floral piece comes from the True Love Designer Paper Pack and for the life of me I cant remember which papers I used to layer for the background haha. I'm sure someone will know. 13.01.2022 Hellooooo Tuesday! I never would have thought to use Cinnamon Cider for a Christmas card...not exactly the traditional Christmas colour. This card is a CASE from a demo who had this design as a Gift Card holder, I loved the colour combo so I just turned it into a card! I've used the Seabed 3D Embossing folder for the background but softened it up with a wide strip of vellum. The small touches of sprey are in Soft Sea Foam. The sentiment has been stamped in Cinnamon Cider ink.... I think the stark whisper white of the Poinsettia Petals really pops against the backdrop of the Cinnamon Cider. I'm really happy with this one. 12.01.2022 Hellooooooo Wednesday! Recently I joined a face book group, FULL of people from all over the world who LOVE cardmaking AND want to find a Pen Pal. I love the idea of a Pen Pal. Takes me back to when I was a kid. The thought of writing to someone far away and getting to know someone through a letter, in the hope you'll meet one day. Well my passion for cardmaking has allowed me to meet so many beautiful and talented people from everywhere. I'm so lucky.... I responded to a post by a lady named Kathy in Massachusetts U.S. So I sent her this card and a 5 page typed letter, only because my writing is messy lol. I've CASE'd Karen over at Crafty Karen Designs and made a few simple changes to the original but kept the layout mainly the same. Here's what I love about this card: 1. So simple, anyone can do it... 2. Great way to use up your designer papers 3. Can be made for any occasion 4. Can use ANY designer papers. 07.01.2022 Hellooooooo Monday! I love this card...simple and traditional. When I CASEd this I realised I didn't quite have everything needed to replicate the original so I had to make do. I didn't have the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch so I used the Stitched Rectangle dies instead for the background pieces. Then I have used the Gift Wrapped Bundle for the Bow and coloured with Blends. I have also used the popular Sprig Punch for the Gold Foil accents in the background....
