07.01.2022 Sorry to pause your day social media(ing) but I would like to take this opportunity to update the HELLOiM community and reflect on the journey thats been. The way Covid played us all is unforgivable. full stop. Although I hate to mention that it was an issue before George Floyd; I pray that society will adapt the means to have the intellectual and emotional conversations about previous, present and future racism. As an African founded and operated platform; We say its gotta... f*****g stop. Towards the end of 2019, as we exponentially grew and got the opportunities to meet new artists and collaborative business partners it became apparent that we ourselves needed to improve and develop the skills and knowledge required to deliver the street wear clothing platform whos vision is to give creatives and artist the recognition they deserve. Hence Covid-19/20 providing the perfect cover to do so. Behind the scenes we have been working harder than ever, please do not interpret our social media silence as any form of conspiring with racism. I (we) did not feel at peace with the idea of turning black murder into a marketing idea - there is always intent behind every piece of content and profiting from a black square and a hashtag did not feel right. We will be back soon, for now let us use Covid to improve ourselves - the good vibes will return.
