18.01.2022 Thanks to Asch Creative for the beautiful photos
17.01.2022 Last week in the lead up to Greener Families we caught up with the powerhouse duo behind Wanderess Beauty. We loved their work so much we gifted each of our panellists one of their beautiful boxes. If you're looking for ways to switch to better for you beauty AND be kinder to the environment then check out the ladies at Wanderess. x
17.01.2022 3 simple ways to grow a greener family brought to you thanks to the inspiration and wise counsel of our kick ass panel last week.
16.01.2022 As part of our commitment to Growing Greener Families, we caught up with a fabo charity Take 3 who are on a mission to clean up our waterways. A great one to get your kids involved with as it's totally simple and practical. Thanks Julia Wheeler for the introduction and @Monica Mudge for the interview. https://www.kinandkind.com.au/blog/take3
15.01.2022 There was so much great inspo at our recent event - so many ideas, so many resources discussed. Our pens could barely keep up! We've compiled a bunch of books/ websites/insta profiles you might want to check out in our latest newsletter....
14.01.2022 People in power are terrified of mothers. Never underestimate your power to make systemic change. Deputy Lord Mayor Jess Miller love this woman! Power to parents!!
13.01.2022 It’s been a very long time without much activity from Kin & Kind. Josie is moving to London so things are going to have to change. We’ve built this lovely community and hosted some wonderful events that have supported parents and had some amazing feedback. So excuse the sleepiness and we work out what next. Hope your parenting journey is going well and during those tricky sometimes lonely hours - reach out to other kindred people. And if you’ve got your shit mostly together or even if you don’t, don’t forget to offer a hand, ear, hug, cuppa (whatever!) to a mum or dad in need of some love and support. This parenting gig needs a village (maybe a cliche but it’s true). It needs Kin (friends, family, community) and Kindness and compassion. xx
11.01.2022 We hope you enjoyed Growing Green(er) Families! Thank you to everyone who came and participated. Did you know this is just one event in our Sustainable Living s...eries at The Calyx? Tickets are available for sessions including Plastic Free Home, Bee Keeping for Beginners, Introduction to Fermentation, Healing Herbs and Natural Skincare! Find out more on our website. See more
11.01.2022 As the weeks of school holidays draws to a close there is a definite recognition of the strain in trying to juggle it all. I have all the pizza https://www.newyorker.com//i-am-the-one-woman-who-has-it-a
09.01.2022 Last chance to get your tickets to this event. It’s tomorrow!
09.01.2022 We've got some great giveaways tomorrow from wonderful businesses who support a greener future. Here we catch up with Jessica Bragdon from Koala Eco https://www.kinandkind.com.au/blog/koala-eco
08.01.2022 We found this via our friends at The Parents Village and love its sentiment.
08.01.2022 In the lead up to mothers day... we thought we'd share some snippets of the roles of mum in da house, if the house ran like a business. There are a lot of them!
08.01.2022 Well we’ve got #48 covered...
07.01.2022 FREE TICKET! THIS MORNING! Join the lovely folk at The Mothers Den for a fascinating look at the myth of the overnight success (spoiler alert: it doesn’t exist!) Today at 10am in North Sydney. PM us now if you want to attend. Sick mummy and sick kids so can’t go!
07.01.2022 Gosh we had a fun morning last Saturday for Growing Green(er) Families. Thanks to Shevonne Hunt Presenter and Kinderling Kids Radio for your unwavering support. Biggest love to Deputy Lord Mayor Jess Miller, Alex Cornersmith & Laura Cunningham. We also had some lovely support from the wonderful people at: Ovvio Organics, Koala Eco, (love) mae, Wanderess Beauty, Onya. Beautiful photos from Andrea at Asch Creative The The Calyx was and amazing venue for this worthwhile event.
03.01.2022 We love this and we totally agree on the importance of filling your cup. It’s not about being selfish but about making sure you carve out time for yourself to be a better human and a better parent.
03.01.2022 Its impossible to feel like you get parenting right these days. An interesting article by the Atlantic about how conflicting the messages we receive about parenting are. It references the work and advice of Dr Spock who was the oracle of child rearing once upon a time. https://www.theatlantic.com//03/america-new-dr-sp/555311/
02.01.2022 Don’t normally put up photos of toilets. But genius idea to have a kids/baby seat next to the loo to strap in runaway toddlers when you need a wee . Still recovering from the trauma of having a small person bolt from the toilet cubicle a few years back and having the toilet door swung open for all to see mid flow ! Westfield Bondi Junction
