09.01.2022 We had a great first day on the 2020 Hello Koalas Festival and Treasure Hunt and loved meeting lots of you at our new home at the Hello Koalas Tree House and Shop at 16/10 Bellbowrie St. There has been lots of love for our new Hello Koalas. It has been fantastic to see everyone getting out and enjoying all that Greater Port Macquarie has to offer! While some people have absolutely amazed us by getting around the entire 30 Hello Koalas in a day ... (we might have to make it to...ugher next year!) ... there are lots of people still on their Search and Rescue Missions to help out our charity partner Westpac Helicopter Rescue Service and find their pilot Chief. It's up to you. This busy girl timed herself at The Royal Botanic Garden, Sydney event last year ... but you don't have to do that, just make it around all 30 carefully chosen #HelloKoalas sculptures on Saturday and Sunday. ... We've said the hunt runs from 9am-5pm but if you want to get out early either day, or stay late on Saturday, that's fine. Just make sure we have all your photos posted on social media or emailed to us by Sunday night, 27 September. We suggest that you start the Treasure Hunt near where you are staying - easy for you and helps ensure people are starting from lots of different locations so we won’t have large groups congregating at any one time. Please Maintain Social Distancing (1.5m) and Hand Hygiene to stay Covid-safe. Along with a bottle of water, hat and sunscreen, we encourage you to bring a bottle of sanitiser or wipes to clean your hands before and after each Hello Koalas sculpture you say hi to and take a photo! We got so many absolutely brilliant photos from participants, so thank you all for taking part and making this such a fun weekend for our 4th festival and shop launch. We received such wonderful feedback from everyone. We will be sharing more photos now the big decision has been made ... an...d trust us it was tough! As you can see the Turnham kids really got in on the act with our Hello Koalas and even created a video of "The Turnham Treasure Team" which they've allowed us to share on YouTube https://youtu.be/FCtJF8-i3IQ.
