24.01.2022 Attention It’s the name of the game. Here are 6 Quick Tips for creating ads that stop the scroll ~ Use a square format: 4:5 aspect ratios (let’s call them rectangles) perform the best, especially on mobile, where they take up the most space on-screen. ~Identify your audience’s emotional triggers and agitate them: Selling phone cases? What’s the #1 fear of someone who owns a phone? A cracked screen. Film a video of you dropping your... phone - even though it’s not theirs, you’ll get a reaction. Sneaky. ~ Offer a discount code: We recommend only discounting on retargeting ads at the bottom of the funnel. However, for extremely price-sensitive audiences, a gold ole ‘BUY ONE GET ONE FREE!!’ can still be effective. ~ Use a text overlay: While ad copy is important, a short and bold text caption on your ad may be the only thing a user sees as they’re scrolling. Create an impact statement by asking yourself this question: What is the problem my customer has, and how can I solve it? Simple. ~ Storytelling: People love stories. Wrap your messaging into a narrative and watch your CTR soar. ~ Pro-tip: This is my favourite If you have a human model in your ad, start the video with them looking directly into the camera. We’re hardwired to make eye-contact with people who are staring at us. This applies to ads too. See more

20.01.2022 A 2013 study by Microsoft noted people’s attention span is eight seconds at most. The answer is simple. Every piece of content you create should be simplified. This is 'cognitive fluency'. It’s also why emojis, tweets and short paragraph ‘explainers’ like this post are so popular ... The easier your content is to understand, the more likely it is to hook your audience and keep them engaged. What does this mean for you? ~ If your product is complex, explain it in basic terms that a 10 year old could understand. ~ Create clear and concise calls to action - Learn how, Shop now, Discover more at the end of EVERY post. ~ Focus on one topic per blog post, video, or webpage. ~ Use eye-catching graphics that quickly communicate your message. ~ Use videos over text where possible, and keep them under 5 minutes. ~ Use emojis instead of words to convey emotion (if they suit your brand voice). 18.01.2022 If you are a dropshipper or small business owner, it might feel daunting when you're quoted over $1000 for a package for product photography. 13.01.2022 Just jumping on here with a little update! As you know, Jarrad and I launched Hello Monday during Covid, joining our professions, photography and advertising into a social media agency. Jarrad has recently been given the most amazing job opportunity with Google in London and due to the massive commitment and overseas move, has decided to step away from Hello Monday. He is my little brother and obviously I’m so stoked for him, prou...d and our family will miss him like crazy! So in saying that, over the last couple of weeks I’ve had the chance to sit back and really think about what direction I want to take this brand. I thought about taking someone else on in advertising but it didn’t feel right. What I knew was that I came to Jarrad originally with a plan. I wanted a platform to share the commercial work that I was already doing through my business @daniellewebster.photo and build on it. I’m extremely passionate about helping small businesses and I still want to do that, so I’ve decided that from here on out I will be focusing on content creation and visual story telling for brands. I have the most amazing team of photographers and videographers working with me, that specialise in different styles to give our clients exactly the look and feel they are after. I hope everyone reading can understand the direction I have decided to take moving forward and I can’t wait to share some of the projects we are currently working on. Danielle x See more

08.01.2022 If in doubt, dance it out! @karlee_alex you are goals

08.01.2022 Video ads are the answer, but what makes a killer video? This is a quick (and simplified) breakdown of my ‘formula’ for great video ads at the Top and Middle of the sales funnel. Top of the funnel: ~ Message: Open with an ‘impact statement’ by addressing the clients needs, not your product. Then, spend the entire video explaining why that need is a problem that they need to solve, and that they can learn more on your website. If you mention your product, keep it sho...rt. ~ Creative style: This is not a product ad. Grab their attention with a video that looks like something they would see on their feeds organically. Include captions and a video title so that they are tempted to turn on the sound. ~ Call to action: Send them to a landing page to learn more, for e.g. a blog or a homepage. Never send them to a product page. Middle of the funnel ~ Message: Build trust. Use testimonials and reviews of course, but also tap into product benefits that your audience cares about. ~ Creative style: Highly produced videos work best here. Try to combine multiple reviews or benefits into a variety of video formats to test, such as interviews, selfie videos, or animations. ~ Call to action: Send them to a product page. See more
