21.01.2022 Courage Hills Tekpa from Tekchills Foundation has sent us this video filmed during our Music for Change Busk-a-thon event....the network went a little fuzzy in Ghana when we crossed to them online -but now we can enjoy it in all it's rhythmic glory! Let's dance!!

If you have a piece you'd like to play*, especially if you have an exam coming up, this would be a great opportunity to practice performing! 03.01.2022 Thank you to all the young musicians from Australia and Africa who performed at our online buskathon today. Young musicians performed with enthusiasm and Australian and African students were thrilled to make new friends through this technology-enabled cultural exchange. The online charity busk-a-thon hopes to raise funds for the Tekchills Foundation's school project, to build 6 new much-needed classrooms for the students in Ghana. Current issues with the mud-clad school buil...ding include the lack of ventilation, termite infestation and flooding due to roofing leaks. 01.01.2022 Vale Sonny Chua, Australian composer and pianist who passed away on the 9th September. Many of us at Hello Music have enjoyed his many fun and lively AMEB piano pieces including 'Jive Turkey' and 'Hoon Mobile'. Although I didn't know him well, Sonny and I attended Melbourne Uni Conservatorium at the same time and I'd see him from time to time at music gatherings. What a shock to hear he is no longer with us. In addition to being a much-loved composer, Chua was a musical dir...ector for the Walt Disney Company, President of the Association of Music Educators (Victoria), and a presenter at the ISME World Conference in Malaysia and Brazil.
