22.01.2022 F*CK THE NUMBERS. FOCUS ON WHAT MATTERS. The lives you change. The value you bring. The impact you create. ... The goals you achieve. The steps forward you take. All these things? Can happen whether you have 100 followers or 100,000. Whether you hit 0 comments or so many you can't keep up. Stop counting the numbers and instead focus on the names of the people you impact. Including yourself. Show up. Serve your audience. Offer solutions. Stand the heck out. And use social media and content to connect and contribute. 'Cause I can tell you right now, you'd be surprised at what {incredible things} go on behind the scenes *regardless* of those little numbers say. They can honestly? Go jump. See more



15.01.2022 MY ‘OVERNIGHT’ SUCCESS... that was 3,970 ‘overnights’. {and why I think overnight success can go jump.} My journey to where I am today? To running a business I LOVE. That has surpassed my wildest expectations of ‘success’. Looks a little like this:... Studying my butt off in tertiary education + diploma education. {And working *many* years in a Federal Government leadership position which centred around communication before I found my creative + strategic edge and obsession}. Opening my own small business as a side-hustle about 6 years ago as a professional copywriter - while still in my fulltime corporate role. {Thanks FB memories for the reminder of my first business card } Closing that side-hustle + quitting my corporate job when I landed my dream role in someone else’s creative business. {But still dabbling in entrepreneurial activities to keep that spirit alive.} Working my way from Communications Manager to Chief Communications Officer of a multi-million dollar company. While also following my passion and picking up a gig for about 6 months with a well-known copywriting agency to still fulfil my love of weaving my words with small businesses, too. Alllll to a chain of {happy but terrifying} events starting about a year ago which included moving 3,111km across Australia, having to leave those ‘stable’ roles and opening what you now see today as This is Co. So that ‘overnight’ success to the business you see today? Was in NO way overnight. In fact, overnight success can go jump. ‘Cause if I was an ‘actual’ overnight success? I know there is NO WAY I would have the skills, strategies, life experience, and business acumen I bring to the table today. BECAUSE THOSE 3,970 OVERNIGHTS {OR 10+ YEARS} TO GET ME HERE MEAN MY CLIENTS: Get KILLER outcomes backed by 10 years experience. Get INCREDIBLE insights. That have been tried and tested and proven. Get a craft SO WELL PRACTICED that the words + strategies I empower and equip them with? Are going to help them achieve the success they have dreamed of. So here’s to celebrating and welcoming overnight successes that take *way* more than just overnight.

BIG YES You have so much magic that you can use to be a magnet for your ideal customer. ... And it all comes down to infusing what makes you uniquely and authentically you into your content. It’s about: Your values. Your voice. Your vision. Your passion. Your promise. Your problem-solving. Your outcomes. Your offer. Your obsession. And then dishing all that up with a big serve of content that serves. That educates, entertains, empathizes. The type of content that has your client saying it’s like you were talking straight to me. So from today, stop focusing on the competition, the noise, the trends. And start focusing on your core and your customer. And then communicate, communicate, communicate. And communicate some more. 01.01.2022 MORE FEELS LEAD TO MORE SALES Real talk: People buy with their emotions FIRST, and THEN back this up with logic after. So if you want to be seen, loved, stand out + SELL? ... You gotta infuse {authentic} feels in your content. You gotta know what your ideal client feels now, and how they wanna feel in the future. And talk about it loud and clear. Ask yourself: What negative things are your ideal customers feeling right now and how can you make them go away with what you offer? What positive emotions will they feel once they achieve an outcome your service offers? How have other people felt about what you offer? What *won't* they feel?... like they *won't* feel overwhelmed or unsupported. Let’s pull back the curtain, shall we? Here's an example of how I would use this in my brand: FIRST THE EMOTION: Working with me: You will feel complete clarity around your brand and your purpose, which is a sense of relief. Of empowerment. Of happiness. Your frustrations disappear and you will no longer feel the horrible 'how do I cut through with content' overwhelm. And feel so *damn* proud to tell people your offer, or have 'em see your social media. THEN JUSTIFY WITH LOGIC: Everything I do is powered by incredible consumer insights which is how I make messages, strategies and words resonate so powerfully.
