22.01.2022 Me, pondering whether it’s socially acceptable to go to the supermarket in my bathers and a towel Weekends are my absolute favourite training days, which makes long weekends even better. Everything is relaxed, and I can spend multiple hours doing things I love with people I tolerate today was @tribalclash training with @dr_ben_d and @krissfitgames this morning (all the rope climbs, heavy carries, burpees and dead all’s) before a quick 1km swim to loosen things up. Would’ve loved to be in the pool for longer, but stupid here forgot suncream, and I’m not about that sunburn life. Happy Sunday!

22.01.2022 Swipe for storytime 1: Current progress. Feb 1st to Feb 29th. More food, more energy for training, leaning up nicely. 2: self concious, crash dieter, unhappy, inactive, binge eater, unhealthy relationship with food. active and fit, confident, happy, improved relationship with food.... 3: This girl had good intentions and WANTED to be healthy. There was just too much misinformation to sift through that she couldn't work out how 4: This girl is the result of ten years of research, experimentation, and guidance from people smarter than her to develop healthy habits 5: It's my goal to help others along the same journey I overcame. Reassuring you that it's possible to have a healthy life that involves these things (because burgers are life ), but there needs to be balance. 6: I've got a few spots left for nutrition coaching, as well as a couple of PT slots available. If you'd like to go on this journey with me, I'd love to have you.

17.01.2022 I’m a beetroot. While that wasn’t the slowest 5k I’ve ever run, it’s up there with the worst. I was in Freo when the storm rolled through at 5, and was bummed because I was so determined to get my run done. So naturally, as I drove north and everything cleared I was fired up again and stopped at Cottesloe to get it done. Decided to play with 2:00 run, 1:00 walk and got some really decent speeds for the first 1km but battled a little tightness in my upper abs. Then in the 2nd ...km I got the mother of all stitches and basically ran/walked through that the ENTIRE way. #agony BUT - I got out, I got it done, it was only 2:00 slower than my standard 5k, which means those speedy starts were in my favour. Tomorrow is a new day, and I’ll start a little slower to warm up and maybe not make my pre-run carbs 3 mini Freddos Plus, now today gets to be green on my spreadsheet. #brightside See more

17.01.2022 Post run breakfast 7km this morning, and I had the pleasure of running along the beach in Dunsborough. The weather was a bit cooler than it has been, and the path was flat - both things that equal a great run. I held a relatively consistent pace (not necessarily fast) but no walking, and I finished really comfortably. I could’ve done another km if I needed to. I’m really starting to enjoy this running thing. It’s really satisfying, and I think I’ve finally experienced that elusive runners high! That’s week 1 of half marathon training down, even with a couple of out of the ordinary bumps - a two day photoshoot, and a long weekend down south. Swipe for split times @ Yallingup, Western Australia, Australia

10.01.2022 Stick to the plan. That’s what I’m telling myself. 8 weeks of half marathon training began yesterday, and already my routine is shaken by things out of my control. Today and tomorrow I’m in Freo at photoshoots for work, meaning my days are longer and training for 1-2 hours this evening isn’t entirely viable. Today called for an upper body session + an easy 5km run. So, I got my butt out of bed at 5.15am to do upper body before work, and I’ll squeeze the 5km in after I finish ...the shoot. I packed breakfast, lunch and snacks last night so that I wasn’t tempted by anything that wouldn’t fit my day. I’m satisfied with my effort in making this work today, and so motivated by the fact that I didn’t allow a busy schedule to get in the way of the plan. Missing a session in week 1 feels like bad juju for the remainder of the program
