24.01.2022 I have loved being a travel agent since I started in this exciting industry way back in 1984. And this year was to be a big celebration of 20 years owning my o...wn travel agency, but quite obviously now, it’s turned out to be the exact opposite This video sums up what myself, my amazing team and many of my esteemed colleagues have been experiencing for the past 6 months and it really has been incredibly tough. However I am in this for the long run and feel confident that things will start to improve (and yes I’m one of those glass half full type of people!). So with the support of our loyal clients and wonderful local community, Helloworld Travel Parkdale will now look forward to a big 21st birthday in 2021!! How awesome is this footage taken in the Masai Mara earlier this week of the most amazing wildlife spectacle on earth, The Wildebeest Migration. Each year, millions of wildebeest, accompanied by large numbers of zebra, gazelles, elands and impalas move across the greater Masai Mara-Serengeti ecosystem with the Mara River crossing considered the climax of the migr...ation period. It’s been a little while since we gave you an update about Helloworld Travel Parkdale but we hope you’ve all been well and staying safe during what has been the most challenging of times for us all. Over the past few months we have continued to work from home helping our clients to obtain refunds and travel credits, which we might add have totalled over half a million dollars, and we will continue to do this until the job is done! We... have also been able to make a few bookings to get people across the world safely back home to their families. And now for some good news!! We are delighted to announce that we will be returning back to the office from Monday 9th November working reduced hours/days as follows: Monday, Wednesday & Friday 10am 2pm Saturday 10am 12pm We will be working with a COVID safe plan that only allows us 3 people in the office plus 1 staff member at any time, plus of course you will still need to wear your mask. Appointments are essential to discuss new bookings and to utilise existing travel credits so please contact us on 9580 9111 or email [email protected] to lock in a time. The announcement we are expecting tomorrow will hopefully allow travel throughout Victoria to restart and as you may also be aware, the NSW border will open from 23rd November. It’s also looking pretty good for all other states and international destinations of New Zealand, Fiji, Singapore and Japan are also showing signs they may open up for us soon. As your locally owned and operated Travel Agent, we can book all of these places for you which in turn means your money stays local and not with some big overseas online company. Also our Helloworld Head Office have put together some amazing deals for domestic travel in particular so we really look forward to being able to help you again with your holiday plans. We also want you to know that we are here for the long run and despite the loss of income this year, we remain strong and can’t wait for the world to open up again so we can do what we do best which is to get you out there to experience it !
