17.01.2022 Today is quite a special day for us as it marks the 20 year anniversary of the opening of Traveland at the old Thrift Park Shopping Centre by these 2 local ladies! Well after a couple of name changes and office relocations later, Helloworld Travel Parkdale is still standing, as are these two (no prizes in guessing which of the 2 photos was taken in 2000 and the one taken today ). The business partnership between Selena and Paula lasted over 16 wonderful years with Selena ...still working in the business and the lovely Paula now working in the health care sector, but more importantly, their 28 year friendship is still as strong as ever We are incredibly proud of our 20 year milestone and at the start of this year had planned to mark the event with a big celebration. This story was from a couple of weeks back after a photo was shared on Reddit of a 1970s-era drinks menu from our long lost aussie airline Ansett Australia, and shows prices such as cans of beer for 30 cents, Coke for 10 cents, and packets of cigarettes for only 45 cents!! News.com also has a little video of an old Ansett ad showing their 30% off airfares sale and Gold Coast packages for as low as $270 for airfares & 7 nights accommodation - wow!!! ...
