25.01.2022 https://www.facebook.com/220709751279109/posts/3526076004075784/?vh=e&d=n We all love you Max. Happy 60th birthday
17.01.2022 Thank you everyone who contributed today whether through donation or attendance. We were overwhelmed with support for our days for girls sewing/ packing bee. In... total we made over 180 packs that will be taken to Africa in March and maybe a few spares for Cambodia with all the homework our worker bees have taken. We are so grateful as will every young girl who will be able to manage her periods for three years when she receives her pack. So worthwhile. Sleep well tonight knowing you have been part of a very worthwhile project that makes a huge difference to each girl. Thank you. Moira and Faye. See more
15.01.2022 So much excitement in one day. Breakfast with Ly snd his family followed by a swim, smorgasbord and some retail therapy with Ratha and his family. Lunch was a c...urious mix of many foods they hadn’t tried before. Bop A’s favourite was seafood pizza, Ratha loved calamari and macara loved dipping margarita pizza in tomato sauce. The girls had their pretty woman moments where Kenya tried in everything in the shop and was very excited about the whole change room concept.. Before you knew it it was time to say goodbye to them but hello to Ramorn and Jia. We are so lucky that ramorn was visiting the city because if Chinese New Year. He is based in Phnom Penh now but came up to visit friends and was able to spend some time with us. Jia is doing so well and in a surprise twist is now starting to regain some sight. You can well imagine how much I cried at the mere thought of that. He is still enjoying soccer, studying hard and has some new friends. He has gained a lot of confidence but can still be the shy boy we know and love. Back to pub street for some dinner then off to bed absolutely exhausted. Night night See more

13.01.2022 Before we came on this trip Tanya asked us to recreate some photos from our early days. And here is our then (2012) and now (2020) collection. Same same!!
13.01.2022 Massive day of catch ups. It was so lovely to surprise everyone. We got to see Ratha and his family and give Ratha his long awaited iPad. Thank you Oak Flats Pr...imary School. He was so excited. He has always loved stealing ours. The gorgeous little family are hopefully coming in to the city tomorrow for a swim and adventure in the big smoke. We popped in to the help2help centre and saw na rong but because all the classes run in the evening we didn’t get to see them. Na rong very kindly sent some pictures later though. It is all going very well under its new leadership. Next we saw beautiful mumma and socka. Mumma had seen my surprise post and was bursting with anticipation when we got there. Oh those hugs. As a special treat for the crew who came out last January, we then got to see classes in the classroom we built for Sochea Ne and Phatto Phollaa. It is lovingly decorated by the children and enables them to hold two classes simultaneously now as they still use under the house. There were lots of grateful parents there and it seemed like the perfect place to distribute some of our Tuesday fresh days for girls packs. If you were part of that sewing bee, how are some of those smiles for a reward!! Can’t wait to see who we can catch up with tomorrow. See more
10.01.2022 81% of people with disabilities are unemployed. Out of the 19% who are hired, many receive sub-minimum wages. These wages have been recorded to be as low as thr...ee cents per hour. This is unacceptable. Bitty & Beau’s Coffee is proud to employ over 80 people with disabilities and pay them all above minimum wage. People with disabilities deserve & desire equal opportunities. #notbroken See more
06.01.2022 Ratha’s garden update: thanks to Eddie’s workshop in Penrith for the loan of the dingo digger so that we can do some clearing and digging the trenches for the irrigation.
04.01.2022 Many of our help2help crew live in fire affected areas particular in the shoalhaven. They have given of their time, talent and treasure and we are thinking of you all now. Please let us know what we can do to help.
02.01.2022 In March and April this year Moira Sheldon and I are off the Africa to volunteer as nurses in remote communities in Kenya as part of World Youth International (... don’t laugh!!!) We are excited as this new adventure drawers near but would like to contribute to the community in a meaningful way. Due to the success of our days for girls at clinics in Cambodia we would like to take some sustainable menstrual packs with us to be given to young village woman along with health and hygiene education. In the past many of our friends have been keen to help us make packs and so we are calling out again for your support. Sewing is definitely not an essential skill as there is cutting folding and packing to be done. If you are keen we will kick off at my house at 9 am on Tuesday 21st January. If you can’t come but would like to contribute to the cause, we need many metres of flannelette fabric. Women’s and girls underpants, snap lock bags and face washers. I’ll feed and water you and can guarantee you will feel good about what you are doing all day. Please let one of us know if you can help.
