25.01.2022 ! Just because you've temporarily shut up shop doesn't mean you aren't working hard. It's such a great time to evolve business branding, get creative and give it all a bit of a face lift! Up near the Hunter Valley region, in East Maitland is an honest, hard working, family-run mobile auto detailer with a difference - @MaitlandAutoDetailing. Mitch Feenan is a true motorcar enthusiast. His love and appreciation extends right through from high performance vehicle...s to everyday runaround steel horses. You take your car to Mitch because he understands not just how to make it look as good as new with a diamond shine, he goes the extra mile to ensure his work lasts with the best products and coatings for paint protection and a lasting polish. Maitland is a diverse NSW township with all types of vehicles. There are 4x4 enthusiasts, farmers, families and business people. All types are clients of Mitch, and with dealerships, the wine/wedding region a stones throw away, there are many in need of a high quality detailing service that is for sure! We wanted to create a logo that encompassed everyone, that showed class but also honestly, approachability and expertise. Thank you for trusting me Mitch!

This is exactly the thought I have As I love my plants almost as much as I love my pets I thought I would make a lush indoor plant inspired pet bed featuring the pilea peperomioides plant, better known as a money plant or pancake plant What is very cute about this plant is it reproduces by making pups! I was so happy to be gifted a pup from my lovely friend and now I can’t wait for my plant to also hav...e pups some day soon! 20.01.2022 Part of designing something to help someone live the life they want to live, is understanding the kind of life they aspire to have and what that looks like. I have an idea what this looks like for me even though I’m still working out how to shape new habits but I’m a big believer in using design and tool made by my own hands to shape the way I want to live. I hope as well that the things I make can serve other people too! While writing a little blog today, I thought of an i...dea to create a guide for a ‘stay at home wellness retreat’. It’s hard to divide work/home/stress as it is. Now all of these are at home with us! I feel like following a guide for a day or a week that helps make time for self care, nourishing food and rest would be something a lot of people could use right now. 20.01.2022 For many years I have used the name ktbx for sole trading as a freelance graphic designer. But it is time for a change! I will now be doing freelance graphic design, as well as blogging, creating guides and planners, making designs for clothing and pet beds, and charitable designs for the community during our COVID-19 affected time, under the name Helpful Designs by Katy Barr. In order to be allowed to change my business name on my page I need to make it official ... SO HOORAY, NEW BUSINESS NAME AND BRAND new colour palette, some earthy, home decor-y vibes, bit of cuteness BOOM. So let's celebrate and LAUNCH this new name!!! 20.01.2022 It has been a scary 24 hours hearing the latest news and guidelines around COVID-19. I'm thinking of all my family and friends and sending healthy immunity boosting vibes I think there are definitely some upsides to this, and I'm hoping some of the compassion we learn for each other sticks, and the coming back to basics and simple meaningful living will also stick. ... Thought I would make a little post with some of the cute lil silver linings

18.01.2022 New blog up today! I talk about why we chose a tiny home. For anyone thinking about tiny homes it should be an interesting tale at the very least. There were other options for buying a home we considered first! I'm inspired to make a tool to help someone looking into tiny home living design their perfect tiny home. 08.01.2022 Please share to anyone you know who may have recently lost a job, or about to lose their job. COVID-19 is hurting our businesses and causing companies to let go staff across many industries. It breaks my heart! ... Losing a job feels like your tummy falling out, and you question your abilities, self worth. Things crumble a little. Is this happening to you? It sucks so much, I have been there! BUT THIS ISN'T YOUR FAULT Don't hide or feel lost, no more than you have to for self isolating purposes! Hahah. It's going to be ok. Brush off that fear, there is enough of that going on! If you need a hand, just say, so many people want to help. It's our duty, if we have a job and we are working and somewhat unaffected, we want to help you. So you can't let yourself feel guilty one bit for letting someone who wants to help you out do so! I am here for anyone who needs to talk through getting a new job. Let me help you by making you a beautiful professionally designed CV. Something you will feel totally proud of! And trust me everyone I have made a CV for has got a new job in a flash!!
