24.01.2022 So tat, myself, saxon and hades are down the coast for 2 nights as we got 2 nights at seaworld resort for $110 so we couldnt say no. Well tonight we decided to go for a drive to see if we could find some of the guys from the streets so we could have a chat to find out what help they get down here and where they have to hide to keep away from council. It didnt take us long to find some of the guys and we didnt just find some, we found heaps. I cant believe how many rough sl...eeper are down here. First park we stopped at there was 19 people, just in one park on a main road. We saw about 60+ people, we didnt get a chance to chat to everyone as we had both babies with us and nothing to hand out. For such a huge area there is not much help down here for these guys. I wish we at least some drinks on board to hand out but we had nothing. Btw hades is 6 weeks old already.
24.01.2022 UPDATE. Ok were out in the streets atm and the council have rocked up while we are out. The fines they are handing out is for one park only as the rules state no vans, campervan, caravans or motorhomes after 6pm. So if you sleep in a car or tent its legal. So these fines arent for being homeless and sleeping in your car and the fines are getting handed to anyone grey nomads, back packers. ... Its unfortunate that a few of our friends are sleeping in vans and coped these fines. Its ok we will sort these out.

22.01.2022 We want to thank the anonymous person who left this in our letterbox. All of our cooks say the most expensive thing about doing the meals is the containers, so i just ordered 1000 of them to hand out between our cooks. We cant thank you enough whoever you were. We werent even out for that long, had just ducked out to fill the car before fuel rises up again like it already is. I will be going out to pick up containers first thing in the morning. This is for you cooks.
21.01.2022 Start off by thanking every single person who has helped or offered to help, you guys made a huge difference and put smiles on a couples face today. Thanks to you we have 1 trailer load left and there place is furnished. We hired a trailer this arvo from the awesome guys at #NORTHSIDETRAILERS and spent all afternoon and night running around getting everything. Unfortunately they cant spend the first night in the house as there is no power till tomorrow morning so at least to...morrow they can set everything up and make it a home. We just walked in the door now from 10:30 this morning so dinner time for us then bed as we are buggered lol. Once again thank yoy guys.

20.01.2022 Wow just wow. We want to thank all of you for your support we have hit 8000 followers. From going out handing out blankets just to keep people warm to running a full servise now. We never thought it would turn out like this and we cant thank you enough for being there for us.
18.01.2022 So while house hunting over the last few weeks we noticed something. There is so many people lookong for housing. Like i knew it was bad but not this bad. We were turning up to viewings and there would be over 30 other familes and couples applying for the same house. We applied for 23 houses in 10 days and we finally got approved for one. We arent black listed or anything, we have clean records and it was still hard to get a house. ... One thing we noticed though, alot of the houses we applied for that had heaps of othet people apply for are still available . One of the houses even text us and said the rent has now been reduced. 8 people applied for it they didnt accept anyone and they dropped the rent. This is why our the homeless rate is growing. Well just thought id share this with you so people know another reason why the homeless is getting larger in numbers.
18.01.2022 So imangine being down and out on your luck, losing everything, becoming homeless then what you have left someone sets it on fire. A poor bloke yesterday had this happen by ferals in the area. A few people said he was such a nice bloke. I had not met him i saw this on a community page yesterday so we got details and head out today looking for him. He wasnt there but this is only a few streets from our house so i will be keep an eye out for him now so we can set him up with everything
18.01.2022 So went and saw our new friend tonight while out on our run and lets just see he was so happy. He was telling me how warm he is now with the new sleeping bag and how it is to have home cooked meals. Just thought i would keep everyone up to date and how he is doing. Was good to see a big smile on his face and that is what keeps us going. We want to thank all of you guys so much for the support and love. We couldnt do this without you.
17.01.2022 Some of you were completely un aware of our situation. Some of you have known for a while. But Tat and myself would like to announce the arrival of our newest Saint.... Hades... After a long 48 hr induction labour and 2 hours of pushing he finally came into the world happy and healthy on the 20/07/2020... We would like to let everyone know we are now having 2 weeks off for family time. We dont get much time for ourself so this will be well deserved. Thank you everyone for underatanding.
16.01.2022 Well its been a wild few weeks of moving. I ended up in hospital for nearly a week, get out then tat ends up in hospital for almost a week aswell. We are both fine and have finally finished moving into the new house. We are out of redcliffe and now in kallangur so please no donations to old address, inbox us for new address please.

13.01.2022 Would like to say a massive thank you to #JESSEKELLY for the huge donation of 1500 containers amd 9lts of hand sanitizer. Our cooks that we have seen so far are loving this with the containers ad it saves them $10+ everytime they cook. We had hand sanatiser but i had to ration it due to this pandemic and everyone panic buying. Now i cam scrub my hands after everything lol. ... We cant thank you enough jesse.

One of my cooks said to me yestetday its getting hard to get food as they have to go to 3 different shops just to buy enough to mske 25 to 30 meals. 12.01.2022 There is alot of people who suffer of the xmas break and dont like this time of year for alot of reasons. Myself i hate xmas, but knowing we can help people on the streets with the amazing help for you guys makes me happy. This amazing community we have will put alot of smiles on peoples faces who have nothing. Xmas day isnt about presents its about spending time with family and friends and for us our friends on the streets get to spend it with each other, myself and tat (p...oor buggers see enough of us already lol). So please guys contact family and friends as you never know it could turn there frown upside down and make xmas time a good time for them.
11.01.2022 So coronavirus/covid 19 its a serious thing and people are going crazy over it , what i would like to know with places around the world going into lockdown what happens to people sleeping rough? Do chruches open there doors to let people quarantine? Is the goverment opening halls up for this? They say the elderly is the people at most risk of catching it well alot of the people we see are elderly, i woulr imangine it would be like that world wide. Where do these poor sou...ls go? We have still been seeing our friends on the streets, not as much as normal with the page playing up and us moving but we are still there for them. Once we are finished moving we will be back to normal days. So just have a think about these poor souls who not only have to live on the streets but now have to hide hoping they dont catch this virus.

10.01.2022 Want to say a massive thank you to our good mate #HIMMY who today got us a starter motor for the van. It has been broken for awhile and we have been using our own car. This weekend i can install it and get back into the van. We cant thank you enough himmy.

We put 6 months on it this morning and we will be heading back out in it this week. The starter motor had let go and thanks to himmy we got another one but we have been crazy busy so this week it will go in and van will be back. Thank you so much guys.

They guys absolutely loved it when i pulles up and saw what was for dinner. Its the little things in life that bring smiles to these guys faces and tonight it was pizza, garlic bread and ice cold water. Thank you once again Zaneka. You are a legand.

08.01.2022 Well guys once again cause of this stupid bloody app playing up i havent been able to post or reply to messages. It started working 2 weeks ago but we have been busy house hunting as we have had to move. I have deleted page manager and just trying to run the page through fb only now to see if that makes a difference. So yes guys were are still here, we are still operating. We have lost a few cooks this year so once we finish moving we will have to organise a few more cooks.... We only started moving 2 days ago so we will be busy for a week. Once we are moved and setteled in we will post the new address. Thank you for baring with us guys while this app has stuffed up. Now fingers crossed page manager is gone it works properly. 08.01.2022 Wow just wow. One of our long time supporters Brendan Harvey messaged last night and asked if we needed anything to keep us going and i replied with water. Well Brendan just rocked up with this, a ute load . We cant thank you enough for this. It will definitely keep us going. We still had a few cartons left from a heap we got a few days ago but now we are stacked right up. Van is loaded to the roof.

On the 19th of October 2019 The first Annual General Meeting was held to form After Dark Saints inc After dark saints previously had been operating as an unincorporated organisation supporting the local community members facing homelessness and disadvantaged circumstances. We are pleased to introduce the Management Committee of After Dark Saints for 2019 / 2020.... Chairperson: Joshua Malcolm Secretary: Felicity Cameron Treasurer: Lilian Bishop Executive Member - Compliance and Risk: Jesse Kelly Executive Member - WHS: Mel Van Nek Executive Member - Public Affairs & Marketing: Himmy Kumar Executive Member - Caretaker (positional leave coverage): Tatijana Tell The management committee come from a number of different sectors and walks of life such as the Corporate, Community, Education and Finance sectors and are excited to form a rounded group of individuals to lead the organisation during this growth period. 04.01.2022 Wow so nearly all of our friends on the streets have been put into motels in the last week during this pandemic. This is making our run alot easier as we only have to stop at a few motels. We have spoken to the owners of the motels and they are happy for us to pull in and deliver meals as long as we keep the social distancing. Hopefully housing can now put the guys straight into housing from here. Alot of the motels have people from brisbane city in there aswell as they hav...e no room in brisbane. Its good they are finally getting this.

01.01.2022 So today marks 4 years we have been going for, wow 4 years. I cant believe it has been that long. Last night 4 years ago we went out and handed out blankets to the homeless and were never expecting to go this big. We spent a few night going from the city to caboolture handing out blankets and pillows. Alot has happened in 4 years, there has been ups and downs and times where i have just wanted to stop but then i think "what about all the smiles we put on peoples faces" and ...it keeps me going. I want to thank all of our supporters and cooks ovwr this long time and there will be alot more to come.
