25.01.2022 Sue and I are really disappointed to confirm that this years HHHH raceday at Caulfield Racecourse wont be going ahead due to COVID-19 but we hope this means that next year will be bigger and better than ever! We want to thank everyone who has attended, sponsored the event and supported us over the past 10 years, we couldnt have achieved all that we have without you! We are truly grateful to every one of you, our HHHH family We are continuing to check in on all of our bene...ficiaries and although it breaks our hearts that we cant provide the financial support this year that they have come to rely on from our race day, we are doing what we can to reassure them that we havent forgotten them. As life here and in Vietnam begins to settle into this new kind of normal, we will share any updates we receive and ensure that we direct all donations to where it can most make a difference right now. It may be a while before we can get back there to visit but are thoughts are with all of our precious children, families and elderly women. We are hoping to do some online activities on what would have been our race day on Saturday 25th July...so you wont completely miss out on the fun and the absolute joy that comes from helping to save lives! 23.01.2022 5 years ago today we met little Phuong, who had just that week been found alone, malnourished, traumatized and frightened, beside the body of her mother who had passed away days before. Her story and the way she clung to me broke our hearts but at Te Phan orphanage she has found a loving home, where we have watched her thrive and smile again. I would give anything to be able to bring her home and every visit my heart breaks but also reminds us why we need to keep supporting this incredible place, which is home to 77 children! 23.01.2022 In January we met beautiful little An just prior to her surgery. When her parents heard we were over here they arranged to come to see us so that we could see for ourselves how healthy and happy she is now and she proudly wore the dress we gave her on our last visit. She is such a little character, full of energy, spunk and absolute joy! What a special visit! We are a part of this family forever now

21.01.2022 It is always one of the highlights of our trips back to Vietnam when we get to visit the beautiful, energetic and joyous students at St Josephs charity school Without this incredible place, 110 children would not be able to attend school or have a chance at ever escaping the poverty they were born into. Seeing their passion for learning and their gratitude for being able to attend school makes us so proud to be involved with such a special place!

21.01.2022 Sending our best wishes to all of our supporters for a happy new year and festive season. 2020has been challenging for so many people but even without our annual race day going ahead, we were still able to fund 5 heart surgeries this year, including baby Huu Loi (pictured). We could not have done this without the incredible generosity of our amazing supporters. Thank you to everyone who has supported us and helped to save these children’s lives. 18.01.2022 One of our very favourite places, where our visits are filled with huge hugs and even bigger smiles! It is now home to 81 orphaned children, 8 more than when we were here in January. We have no idea how they do what what they do every day but they keep opening their doors and hearts to any child who needs a home...such an amazing place. A very frightening and tragic reality that is faced by many young pregnant women. 15.01.2022 Today should have been the biggest, most important day of the year for us at HHHH, our annual race day event at Caulfield Racecourse. Today is the one day each year when we know that what we have spent months planning and organising will ensure that lives are saved, lives are changed and lives are in some way made better. To not be able to do this, to not host our fundraising event, and to know that we will not be able to have the huge impact that we have had each year, makes... this is a very emotional and difficult day for us. We have achieved so much with the help of so many but the world has been turned upside down as a result of COVID-19 and for us, just like every one of you, things we had hoped and dreamt of for this year just arent possible. 14.01.2022 This beautiful 4 month old baby boy symbolizes all that is beautiful, love-filled and joyous about our charity work in Vietnam but also the sadness, heartbreak and torment that comes with what we do, which stays with us long after we return home. He was abandoned at the local hospital as a new born baby and has since only known the orphanage at St Josephs as his home. He is so lucky to have a home where he is genuinely cared for but our hearts broke as we cuddled him tight, knowing how tragically unfair it is that he will never know the love, comfort or safety of a parents arms. 12.01.2022 Meet Huu Loi, a beautiful baby boy who was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect at just 7 months of age. He was assessed last week by the HBNV team as requiring urgent surgery to avoid further complications to his health, including the risk of respiratory failure. The cost of his surgery is approximately AU$5400. His father, however, earns just AU$425 a month working full time as a crane driver, which makes such a cost completely out of the realm of possibility for his p...arents to be able to afford. His house, which is very basic and built on the side of a river is also at risk, as the foundations are no longer steady and it may only be a matter of time before it collapses. With your help, we can change Huu Loi and his family’s life forever by providing the funds desperately needed for his heart surgery! If our race day was on right now, we know that we could confidently say that we would raise enough money to cover the costs of his surgery (and a number of other seriously ill children). 12.01.2022 The precious little ones from St Josephs orphanage...they were babies when we first met them and now they have grown into beautiful little toddlers who just loved the toys we brought for them (thanks Amber McGregor!) It is so hard to walk away when they so deserve a real home where they can be loved and cared for and we are already counting down until we can see them again

05.01.2022 The wonderful Spataro girls joined us is Vietnam this year when we visited our orphanage and today they continued their support of our HHHH programs, helping us shop for the Angel Tree program. Over 60 gifts were purchased for children and teenagers who have a parent in prison so that they may feel the love and joy that is so missing in their lives at Christmas time.
