This is fantastic news for us and for our families that need us the most. 20.01.2022 R U OK? Day at Helping Hands Benowa State School This week we have been looking at our emotion emojis, how to identify feelings and the importance of talking about our emotions. We have been encouraging children to talk about their feelings, big & small and creating a safe space for them to be open. We spent R U OK Day being very busy! The children completed the nomi-mate and certific-mate certificates for their friends through Before & After School Care and we created an in...credible display in our OSHC room. Our children also helped us make small gift bags with a coffee, muesli bar and a chocolate for parents and our school staff with a small note checking in with our families and school communities. 08.01.2022 SERVICE SPOTLIGHT: Sustainability at Eumundi State School The children at Helping Hands Eumundi have been making the most of their beautiful natural environment to engage with sustainability activities. The children have enjoyed making their Fairy Castle butterfly house and the Enviro Centre as well as taking care of the two chickens, Nugget and Phoenix!
