24.01.2022 Patient bookings for panchakarma treatments can sometimes include hearty meals. Here is one I made up for a patient. Hes very happy enjoying his treatments and some wholesome home cooking! We have been offering to arrange Farmers Markets visits with patients and home kitchen consultations. This is to help some of our patients who are very overwhelmed with wholesome home cooking. It is very embarrassing for some people to admit that they dont know much about different varieties of fresh produce and cooking, so this is a great opportunity for me to help guide you. The first and most important step to health is health wholesome home cooking!

22.01.2022 Congratulations to a few of our patients this week!! We have a few natural pregnancy newbies on the way. Very happy parents to be, as expected. We always love news like this. These are very committed patients who have take their preconception journey seriously and never gave up!

22.01.2022 Beautiful baby bump with one off our lovely ladies. Congratulations.

22.01.2022 Disease prevention & Wellness should be the future of Healthcare. Ayurveda medicine has had these strategies in place for thousands of years. Imbedded deep in its philosophy are the principles of daily regimes that keep us connected to our circadian rhythms, eating for our unique biochemistry and digestion strength, oiling the body (inside and out) to ease our aging process, and regular panchakarma that integrate the health of the mind, body, fertility and prevent disease. Even our future generations are catered for in Ayurveda with special regimes for couples in preconception care to strengthen the health and mind of the next generation. As many of you know, we LOVE the messages of health (in mind and body) that Ayurveda brings to the world! Have a nice weekend!

21.01.2022 The key to healthier produce is healthier soil. Local, organic or growing your own produce is a great option now that many of us have more TIME on our hands! Enjoy your quiet Easter!

19.01.2022 Get ready for the upcoming cold & flu season and make your homemade cough syrup full of goodies https://simplybeyondherbs.com/homemade-cough-syrup/

19.01.2022 Adding vegetables, herbs and spice to home cooking daily is very easy to do. I chopped up vegetables for breakfast and later added egg. Then also prepared chopped up veg for my fish and vegetable stew ready for dinner tonight. This is how I prepare on busy work days.

19.01.2022 Just ending our season of Quince fruit from our tree, which has been used in just about everything we could think of. Today I made quince paste and added quince to our roast turkey and veg. Quince are good source of iron, potassium and other vitamins and minerals. I have not needed to reach out for my iron supplement in weeks.

17.01.2022 Ben Greening and myself were privileged to speak at the Global Healthcare Conference tonight amongst highly esteemed presenters world-wide and government representatives from AYUSH in India too. We had a remarkable response from the ZOOM chat audience. Thankyou for the feedback. Especially since I had 3 days to pull our presentation together. Was not easy to formulate a summary of Natural Medicine current circumstances in such a short time- but we got there. Ben and I presented on: Ayurveda, Natural Medicine & its Current Political Landscape in Australia. ENJOY!

17.01.2022 This is actually a pranayama breathing technique.

16.01.2022 Advice from María Sabina, Mexican healer and poet - Heal yourself with the light of the sun and the rays of the moon. With the sound of the river and the water...fall. With the swaying of the sea and the fluttering of birds. Heal yourself with mint, neem, and eucalyptus. Sweeten with lavender, rosemary, and chamomile. Hug yourself with the cocoa bean and a hint of cinnamon. Put love in tea instead of sugar and drink it looking at the stars. Heal yourself with the kisses that the wind gives you and the hugs of the rain. Stand strong with your bare feet on the ground and with everything that comes from it. Be smarter every day by listening to your intuition, looking at the world with your forehead. Jump, dance, sing, so that you live happier. Heal yourself, with beautiful love, and always remember ... you are the medicine. " See more

16.01.2022 Enjoy FREE Yoga for Children from Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. Have a Happy and Safe (quiet) Easter Australia!

14.01.2022 Juggling both home-schooling our son and running our business is not so easy, and there are moments we all need a little pick-me-up. TIP: Today I blended banana, coconut sprinkles, chia seeds, raisins, honey and passion fruit. I also added some fennel powder to help digest the heavier, sweet, anabolic properties of other ingredients. This way I was able to be sure that we would feel energetic and not become sluggish with the heavy ingredients!

12.01.2022 Yoga post to help with Constipation and Flatulence.

12.01.2022 What a pleasure to see Tilly and lovely Jess. A beautiful growing family!

11.01.2022 Does Gin have some HEALTH BENEFITS? (Many of our liquid HERBAL MEDICINES are steeped in a ethanol base) Gin - which is traditionally made from juniper berries - can improve everything from blood circulation to your liver and kidneys. Clearly, this means NOT TOO MUCH GIN! All in moderation... otherwise its not going to be any good for you!... These benefits are due to the combination of warming qualities of the alcohol and the different herbal ingredients, primarily juniper berries which has diuretic, digestive, antioxidant, and anti microbial effects. The oils contained in juniper berries are rich in flavinoids and aromatic compounds that can aid in alleviating coughs by expelling the mucus in the throat, which helps reduce lung congestion. Gin can may also be combined with many different herbs and ingredients such as ginger, which will help to soothe a sore throat. Or try soaking some raisins with Gin for arthritic pains. And try switching to Gin in the summer months to help with the coughs and sniffles of hayfever.

11.01.2022 Thankyou Kate for family photo updates of your beautiful children, 2 of whom were helping nature heal babies and all have grown up with natural medicine support.

10.01.2022 Made my Traditional Chicken Soup. Melbourne weather has been changeable (or variable) this week, and this affects the movable quality of Vata dosha in us all. Some of us will become more vulnerable to the variability if we have more of this dosha imbalance. So it is a good time to rug up in scarfs, hats, and warmer clothes. We can also introduce warming, sweet, grounding, nourishing and immune supportive foods and drink into our diet too. So this is a good time to sip on ho...t water during the day. And even snuggle up to a warm spiced hot milk drink. Tonight I cooked up a traditional European-style Chicken Soup. This family traditional soup I grew up with comprises chicken, rice, egg, lemon and seasoning. Amazingly, Chicken Soup is well-known to comfort us when sick and reduce duration of a cold. This is supported by science research. I added extra fresh ginger and tumeric rhizome and some carrot to give an extra immune boost.

10.01.2022 What do you think of this?

10.01.2022 Are you eating fresh produce including your fruits and veg that have lots of colour? Keep that in mind as we move into the winter season. The colourful foods that you can combine in a meal will be rich in nutrients that reduce inflammation in the body and protect against chronic disease. It keeps our body resilient and healthy. There are lots of fun ways to cook up a colourful meal. Ive added lots of herb and spice such as fresh ginger, tumeric, fennel, kefir lime from our tree, lemongrass, thai basil, garlic and much more, to my own stir fry recipe with some coconut milk added to balance the warmth of the herbs and spice.

09.01.2022 Cold days require nurturing foods. Here I filled a pastry with fresh tuna steak and fresh vegetables and added some home made bashamal sauce. I then made a separate bake of cauliflower and parsnip in a beshamal sauce. Then baked. The pastry and beshamal are not superfoods but a little here and there is fine. This is a nice way to get children to eat their fish and veg.

08.01.2022 More beautiful pregnancy journeys on the way!!! Congratulations.

06.01.2022 Many of our patients in recent months will be happy they have been prescribed the right Vitamin D supplement from us for their individual needs, at the correct dose. Vitamin D is often prescribed by us for immunity, and respiratory support. A recent study discussed in this news article looked at COVID 19 patients from different countries, where deaths were significantly associated with low levels of Vitamin D. Vitamin D also has often been used by us in varying doses as an immune modulator over the years. Many repeated miscarriage patients have also been prescribed different doses too. Nature has provided vitamin D source for us from the sun, so I tell people not to be shy of the outdoors. Winter time when the earth tilts away from the sun, it is more important to bring in eggs, oily fish and ghee into our diet as food sources.

05.01.2022 Dry roasting more fertility spices... The ayurveda way.

05.01.2022 Thankyou to all our lovely patients who always send us updates on how their beautiful babies are growing up... so quickly into healthy little children!! It is such a pleasure to see these journeys from conception onward. Tyler is looking so healthy and happy!

04.01.2022 Thank you for all the updated photos from our lovely patients. Tyler is just so beautiful and growing so quickly! Such a pleasure to see all our patient updates. Thankyou to all of you.

03.01.2022 Working, homeschooling and exercising are all part of our new-world. Trying to juggle it all is a bit of a task for many of us but getting out into nature while there are sunny days helps us cope by supporting our biological circadian rhythms. And...always an opportunity to pick wild greens, herbs such as clivers, and wild blackberries. We are so lucky in Melbourne to have some of the best walking and bike tracks.

03.01.2022 Congratulations. We have more happy pregnancy news to share this week.

03.01.2022 Many of our patients know the importance of Farmers Markets and fresh produce. So I thought i would share the Farmers Market online store that has been set up in response to COVID 19 isolation and business disruptions. You will be purchasing quality, local, fresh, seasonal (and often organic/biodynamic) produce. You are supporting the environment by shopping local and you are supporting 300 + farmers who need support too!

03.01.2022 Professor Ian brighthope discussing Vit C, Zn, Vit D re viruses. LIVE now.

02.01.2022 Many of our patients are given a specialised mung bean recipe in their prescription with spices to aid is digestion. The astringent taste of mung bean helps tone the digestive organs and purifies the blood. With the aid of fibre, astringency helps purge mucus, toxins and parasites from the bowels. As mung bean is a pulse, it is light, rough and dry to digest, it is not suited to all body types at particular seasons. This is why our patients are given this recipe at different times. We added some extra warming/heating spice, meat stock, medicinal mushrooms, and root veg to this one that suit the cooler climate of Autumn... so we have a delicious WARMING vegetable mung bean soup!

02.01.2022 Happy Orthodox Easter.

02.01.2022 A big congratulations to our beautiful patient couple who have sent me an Ultrasound pic of their growing babies! How beautiful is this?

01.01.2022 We love Ayurveda in our clinical practice
