23.01.2022 The week ahead... I am 12 days out from my first real test and milestone. A 24km trail run on a pretty forgiving trail just outside of Melbourne. Next week will be focused on recovery and prep for the event but this week gives me a great opportunity to really push it.... I have 6 runs planned, all of which serve a different purpose, speed, endurance and/or recovery. I have recovered well after the long run on Friday so I'm moving into the weekend feeling fresh and ready to push my body ready for a great event next week



18.01.2022 Feeling strong!! To be ready for May I have to get some Km’s into my legs and quickly! After the big move from Perth it’s nice to venture out and explore some new areas of Victoria.... I highly recommend Werribee gorge! Mixture of a beautiful gorge and some very tough climbs!

13.01.2022 Need some inspiration? Japan's national relay event....disaster, a runner rolls and brakes her ankle....and crawls to the finish line to keep the team in the event! Running is all heart. Love it

05.01.2022 After a great week of training last week I feel strong and ready for the 24k run this weekend! Although it may be small compared to the Marathon Des Sable it will be the furthest I have ran in the 18 months since! The same nerves and excitement are still there and I can't wait to feel that pre event buzz from the other competitors, it's infectious!... For every long run, I outline what I think would be a ’successful’ run. Because this is my first major run in a while, a successful run would finishing strong knowing that I have a little more in the tank. I am not going to go flat out but use this run as a platform or a gauge to understand where I am at in my training, physically and mentally! One more intense run today, a massage Thursday and rest Friday ready for Saturday morning! Ps the video is from an amazing spot in the Dandenong ranges just east of Melbourne



03.01.2022 My mind was like this today! I nearly copped out of my long run today, legs felt tired, mind was procrstinating and Netflix was calling It's crazy, it almost happens automatically, finding excuses to not do something! Those pesky thoughts come in and try to divert the original plan. And literally great a new action!... The way forward is to is be aware of those thoughts, intercept and change the language. I'm glad I did, smashed out a great 15km run around Melbourne . Furthest yet in the mission to 100km
