21.01.2022 | YOU | Wow, what a beautiful year we have had at Help me Hitch! It has been our biggest one yet and I couldn't be more proud of the heights we have hit this year. I would personally like to thank each and every one of you who continue to support, recommend and make this 'job' an absolute dream! ... From clients past, present and those even booked in for 2020 (yes that's right) I am so very grateful for you. You not only put food on my table, clothes on my back, but you put the biggest smile on my face, gift me another set of friends and memories and you give me purpose and that to me trumps everything! To my amazing suppliers, I feel so blessed to work with each and every one of you! Thank you for always having my back, for singing my praise to your couples (for also putting up with my singing haha) and for being just all round total talented, professional legends! The way we connect and feel like we have worked together a million times is something so special, something that is often to come by, so I feel so lucky. 21.01.2022 | 5 STAR REVIEW | Jeeeez, what can we say about Renee. We have found a friend for life that’s for sure! She is INCREDIBLE, you need her in your life! From the lead up and answering all our questions to the actual day itself, she made the day run flawlessly. No job is too big or too small. For a little person she will move mountains. We initially booked her for 5 hours, which I think ended up turning into 12! 1. We didn’t want her to leave and 2. She kept everyone runn...ing smoothly and on time. 16.01.2022 | HELLO OLD FRIEND | Have I told you lately that I Love My Job !? Yes, no, well let's hear it again! I am sooooo lucky to be able to say that I go to work every wedding so flippen excited and leave sooooo loved up! I love my job, seriously! Not many people can say that and gosh I am so grateful I can! Today was my first wedding back at the beautiful and ever so lush and green Midginbil Eco Resort! It was a perfect day. Sunny blue skies, an amazing couple, great gues...ts and such cool kid suppliers! And now here I am at home, on the biggest wedding high, looking at pictures and videos from today.....I'm not crying, you are! My once 5 hour booking turned in a 13 hour booking (we didn't want to leave each other so they kept extendin my time with them) so let's just say I have now made 2 new friends for life, lost about 2kgs of my Bali weight after walking just over 15km today and danced like everyone was watching! What a fun wedding! Photos to come later....watch this space!

15.01.2022 | 2020, WE HAVE YOU COVERED | It's 2020 BABY! And for 37 of our lucky couples you can finally say you are getting married THIS YEAR! How good does that feel? 13.01.2022 | SUMMER WEDDING COORDINATOR STARTER PACK | 4.5 something litres were consumed at yesterday’s wedding!!! This is a little reminder to have a water station set up somewhere for your guests. Beers and wine never get forgotten about, let’s be honest they are on the top of the shopping list however water is often overlooked. I have worked at a couple of weddings where they simply did not have water. I now make it my duty to tell my couples to have water available. ... Ps my couple yesterday nailed it. They had bathtubs of icy cold water bottles which I may or may not have wanted to have a little swim in! Gosh it was hot yesterday! Anyhoo enjoy your Sunday and stay cool folks

11.01.2022 | THE CHOSEN ONE | I take my job very seriously but let's talk real for a moment. When it comes to wedding coordinators we are everywhere so how are you meant to choose the right one? For me, my passion for love is very clear, right from our first phone call to the hard 'see you soons' as I am leaving your reception. Nothing brings me more pride, more joy, more love until my cup is over flowing with it than being a coordinator. This life fills my soul! ... The same amount of love, care, attention to detail and passion goes into your wedding day as it would mine. I treat your friends like my own, I treat your family with respect and find it so hard to leave as I feel like part of your family. So find your one that feels like home right from the very first conversation, that will support you endlessly, we are out there. This is not just a job, it is my why!

10.01.2022 | PRESENT Ok 2021 we are ready for you now! 2020 has allowed us to reassess our business, create better frameworks and processes, upskill and be present for what IS. Truth be told, like a lot of people in business (not to even mention my couples who have been through their own emotional roller coaster) I have struggled, a lot! Both financially but more importantly mentally. ... I have not worked since March this year and by the time my next wedding comes around it will nearly be a whole YEAR! Help me Hitch gives me purpose, it gives me so much to look forward for, it provides motivation for other areas in my life, it serves me in ways I can’t even explain. During Covid I have found it super hard to post anything on my business pages. I felt personally it was wrong. While I was having to have the difficult conversations with my couples which would often end in tears for the both of us, I just couldn’t bring myself to post all things weddings on my page. It was like a kick in the guts while everyone was down. But please know we are still here and ready to kick 2020 goodbye and welcome 2021 with a fresh start!

09.01.2022 | 2020 THE YEAR OF GROWTH | Hmmmmm I could sit here and write so many Debbie Downer things about how 2020 work wise has been a complete and utter fail! However I’ve experienced the most amount of growth for my business to date! I chose to utilise my down time (let me tell you there was a lot of this with only 2 weddings happening for @helpmehitch this year) to help expand and grow the services we offer! ... Exciting things are happening for us in 2021 and can’t wait to get back out there! Ps. I can now add to my list of duties, accept people into zoom link, position laptop accordingly for ceremony, move laptop slightly and slowly to ensure guests see bride walk down aisle, then follow bridal party around with laptop after ceremony finishes! 2020 although you are not over yet, you sure have been one hell of a roller coaster! Thanks for the ride!

09.01.2022 | WE’VE GOT YOU | As a diy on the day wedding coordinator I often get asked what do I actually do at a wedding? Do I walk around with a clip board and just keep everything and everyone in order? Hell nooooooo! You’ll see me and this is no word of a lie, up a tree throwing biodegradable leaf confetti on my couples (as requested by them) as they arrive to the reception after I have spent the last hour punching hearts into leaves.... Transporting items from the ceremony to the reception on a motorbike (lucky it was an auto as I only had one hand, the other had a pile of stuff under my arm). Chasing cows out of paddocks and throwing dried cow poop away from your ceremony site. Yep country gal over here! Oh and quietly sweating like a gypsy with a mortgage as I stack 96 martini glasses for an espresso martini champagne tower. Rolling wine barrels, carrying as many bags of ice as I can to organise drink stations, lighting candles, setting up all the cutlery, crockery and glassware for the reception tables, dressing the cake, making a grazing platter, organisingggg.... the list goes on! These are quite extreme examples of just some of the duties I do at a wedding. When helping my clients I always provide them with a long list of jobs that I’ve done at other weddings to give them a bit of example as it can be quite overwhelming! So don’t stress, we’ve got you!

01.01.2022 | ALL IN THIS TOGETHER | Right now more than ever, we need to choose LOVE not fear! I know times are uncertain at the moment and things are changing daily. What I do know is the amount of support, love, compassion and wholesome connections I am experiencing is so beautiful. I want to be that for YOU! I can't imagine how some of my couples are feeling right now. I am feeling the impacts of this financially as a small business as many others are but my heart just goes out to e...ach and everyone of you! If there is anything that I can do pleeeeeease let me know.
