This set includes all the tracks from those four singles plus Give Us a Future from the Punk... Dead Nah Mate, The Smell Is Jus Summink In Yer Underpants Innit Compilation on Pax. 24.01.2022 SPECIAL INTEREST - Spiraling LP In now! "Special Interest is a four piece punk band emerging from New Orleans, Louisiana. Combining elements of No-Wave, Glam, and Industrial Special Interest create a frenetic and urgent revisioning of punk and electronic music for a modern world gone mad. Propulsive analogue drum machines, a swirling layer of detuned samples, and a driving bass line create the foundation across which angular guitar work and dissonant synth lines glide. Front ...and center are Alli Logouts commanding vocals and razor sharp lyrics moving from high camp satire to insightful political imperatives often within the course of one song. Special Interest initially formed in 2015 to play one show in a basement. Originally a two piece with Alli Logout and Maria Elena playing guitars and power tools over the beat of a 70s Univox drum machine. Soon after they ditched the power tools and were joined by Ruth Mascelli on electronics and Nathan Cassiani on bass. Special Interest quickly gained a reputation for their intense and energetic live shows. A dense wall of sound oscillating from aggressive and noisy to joyous and danceable punctuated by the no holds barred on stage persona of their vocalist. Special Interest have embarked on several short tours of the southeast and have traveled to play festivals such as Suoni Per Popolo, Slut Island, Not Dead Yet, and Dumb Fest. In the Summer of 2018 they completed their first East Coast / Midwest tour. The members of Special Interest are each veteran DIY musicians in their own right involved in a web of bands and side projects. Maria Elena is currently a member of the punk three piece Mal Flora (and was formerly a member of no-wave band TV-MA). Ruth Mascelli produces and performs electronic music under the name Psychic Hotline. Alli Logout is an independent filmmaker (Lucid Noon Sunset Blush is their stunning debut and has been screened internationally) and member of the punk band Lassie as well as performance art meets dance music duo Skantch. Nathan Cassiani is a member of the prolific and well loved punk bands Patsy and Mystic Inane." https://heltaskeltarecords.bigcartel.com/ https://specialinterestno.bandcamp.com/album/spiraling
24.01.2022 OMEGA TRIBE - No Love Lost LP In now! "Remastered vinyl reissue of the debut and only Omega Tribe album, originally released in late 1983 on Corpus Christi Records. The album was recorded by Guitarist Pete Fender deep in the Poison Girls basement studio in Leyton and contains 11 punk anthems with a pop sensibility missed by most of their curse of 1983 peers. Omega Tribe were one of the few bands that had a much more softer, poetic and melodic style of playing that still mana...ged to impress, educate and influence their audiences. It was protest music with a heart and sense of love that still is relevant 35 years later. This album has never been reissued and deserves it's place right next to the Mob - Let the Tribe Increase, Poison Girls - Hex and Zounds - Curse of Zounds." https://heltaskeltarecords.bigcartel.com/ https://sealedrecords2.bandcamp.com/album/no-love-lost

23.01.2022 THE ANNIHILATED - Demo CS In now! "Fantastic demo tape from this new UK band featuring members from ARMS RACE, GAME, SUBDUED and more. Pummeling NWOBH which seems to lean very heavily towards US midwest and Boston hardcore. Sounds like it couldve been some NEGATIVE APPROACH demos for the Tied Down LP or maybe even in there with the less obtuse MECHT MENSCH catalogue. If you're into WASTE MANAGEMENT, PEACEBREAKERS, early WARTHOG etc. etc. you should dig."... https://heltaskeltarecords.bigcartel.com/ https://theannihilated.bandcamp.com/album/demo
23.01.2022 MURO / ORDEN MUNDIAL - Sonido De La Negación LP In now! "Bogotá's MURO and Mallorca's ORDEN MUNDIAL have been flattening audiences all over the world with their unrelenting passion and energy. Now, one of the mightiest of all possible pairings in todays already delectable world of HC/Punk is available for the worldwide community of underground music. Recorded in Berlin in the icy grips of winter 2017, ORDEN MUNDIAL devastate the A-Side with a uniquely southern Spanish take on... some classic American HC tropes like the buzzsaw sensibility of Boston Not LA era JERRY'S KIDS, part noisecore a la CONFUSE, all blended with a dirgey desperation that "Side B" era BLACK FLAG would leap upon with utter enthusiasm. MURO follow with an equally massive grip of songs in their uniquely "Muro" style. This is punk music only they could have made. Bursting with aggression and sadness, this is manic and dynamic hc at its best." https://heltaskeltarecords.bigcartel.com/ https://lavidaesunmus.bandcamp.com/al/sonido-de-la-negaci-n
22.01.2022 LOC-TITE - Wilt CS In now! "Four track cassette from this new Perth band which is essentially the bedroom project of Dave Eaton, previously from DARLING RANGERS, CLEANHEADS. This one has a definite post punk vibe to it. I expect leaning heavily on some of the same themes that influence DIAT. But it also seems to have a Brit Pop leancoming in through some of the playing. Got a real DIY bedroom recording sound about it too. I dunno, this tape just seems to fit the current mood.... When youre feeling it - bleak music for bleak times." https://heltaskeltarecords.bigcartel.com/ https://loc-tite.bandcamp.com/album/wilt
22.01.2022 The COLD MEAT LP copping record of the week of at Sorry State Records "Perth, Australias Cold Meat has released a slew of notable cassettes and EPs over the past five years, but Hot and Flustered is their debut full-length. Hitting the perfect middle ground between Good Throbs anger-drenched skronk and Crasss more freewheeling tantrums, this one was well worth the wait. As with Good Throb, songs that seem like pure gestalt on the first listen transform, upon subsequent lis...tens, into earworms. Just check that simple, Billy-Childish-via-the-Shitty-Limits riff that drives Womens Work, the anthemic chorus to Industry Sleaze (admit youre shit!), or the nervous hardcore of Squirm. Cold Meat also deftly takes advantage of how their singer can sound exactly like Eve Libertine on longer tracks like Cinematic Fashion. The main part of that song is a down-tempo dirge with the ranting lyrics front and center, while the chorus finds the rhythm wrenched into something weirder, bringing in the artiness that was always such a big part of Crasss identity. Hot and Flustered is everything I want punk to be: angry, challenging, memorable, and above all great fun to listen to." https://www.sorrystaterecords.com//record-of-the-week-cold
19.01.2022 RESEARCH REACTOR CORPORATION - The Collected Findings Of The Research Reactor Corporation LP In now! "13 TRACKS, SOME OLD, SOME NEW, FROM THE RADIOACTIVE MONSTERS OF SYDNEY RESEARCH REACTOR CORPORATION! BUY, SELL, TRADE, BUY SELL TRADE BY SELL TRAYED!!! STOCKS ARE BOOMING!!!!!... This band is an uncomfortable enjoyment I think, the music is so poppy but unsettling at the same time. Id like to get these guys over to Perth as soon as the boomer remover has fucked off. In their own words: we sing about nuclear war without being a fucking crust band. That made me giggle." TELEVISED SUICIDE https://televisedsuicide.bandcamp.com//ts37-the-collected-
18.01.2022 COLOURED BALLS - Rock Your Arse Off! and Liberate Rock records in now! Lobby, Bobsy, Andy, Janis and Trevor in all their glory. https://heltaskeltarecords.bigcartel.com/

17.01.2022 OILY BOYS - Cro Memory Grin LP In now! "Chthonic, catatonic, chronic...... Cro Memory Grin is a masterpiece. Thirteen turbocharged tracks indebted to the pleasures and pitfalls of their lives in the modern city of Sydney and to the the first and second waves of international extreme music freaks and loonies: pure fucking aggression. The Oily Boys have graced us with a beast of an album that swells between direct, gripping, tangible hardcore punk and near nauseating psychedelia and throb which at moments feels like either ritual trance or a nervous breakdown. Cro Memory Grin contains near equal measures of tension and release; an exercise in high catharsis. Its rare that a punk record can give the listener anywhere near the same intoxicating feel of an everything louder than everything else live show, but thats what Oily Boys have done. That lightning in a bottle feeling of excitement, chaotic energy, delirium, presence in a moment and frenzied flight into a mind state both frightening and ecstatic. The stone has been carved, the fire has been lit, and this is it... Cro. Memory. Grin." https://heltaskeltarecords.bigcartel.com/ https://oilyboys.bandcamp.com/album/cro-memory-grin
16.01.2022 After some major delays that I’m sure everyone is aware of I’ve got a couple of new releases coming before the end of the year! Here's the second. Preorders and couple of tracks are up now. HSR034: Paranoias have been going for a few years now and have finally graced us with their debut 7. - And with bands knocking out new material seemingly every 2 minutes it’s kinda nice to have to wait - . Five tracks of snotty, fast paced punk that follows on from their outstanding demo.... Although they manage to perfectly adapt to a 5 track punk 45 here. They’re still one of my favourite bands going right now. Still heavily indebted to 70s punk with tightly wound bass and drums underlying Chris’s guitar hooks and surf garage style, and Hannah’s high pitched and often frenetic vocals. All recorded to tape which offers the perfect lo-fi tone for this kind of music. Songs about the collapse of the world, plastic cities, plastic people, shit people, and a vacuous middle class who offer no hope. Recorded before 2020 but very fitting of this year. Napalm. Paranoia. We’re all fried. PREORDER: https://heltaskeltarecords.bigcartel.com/ DIGITAL: https://heltaskeltarecords.bandcamp.com/al/napalm-springs-7
16.01.2022 THE COMES - No Side LP In now! "Official reissue of seminal Japanese Hardcore band THE COMES debut. Originally released in 1983 on Dogma Records, a newly created City Rockers side label to release Hardcore/ Hard punk) No Side remains a milestone of first wave Japanese Hardcore. A vital document to understand the days when the Tokyo Hardcore scene was small and unknown with G.I.S.M., EXECUTE, GAUZE and THE COMES as main runners. Bands who shared stages, record labels and who ...grew to be one of the most varied, influential and enigmatic punk scenes of the planet. THE COMES music is frantic and sharp punk, bass driven and manic sounding with vocalist Chitose aggressive vocals punctuating every syllable and dominating the tunes. Like most first wave Hardcore acts they own their own sound and albeit many times imitated it has never been matched." https://heltaskeltarecords.bigcartel.com/ https://lavidaesunmus.bandcamp.com/album/no-side
15.01.2022 THE COWBOY - Wi-fi on the Prairie LP In now! "Here to take the (20)20's by storm, Cleveland's THE COWBOY bless us with their second full length, "WiFi on The Prairie". Yes, there's more genius to this album than the title alone! Hot on the heels of a new EP on Drunken Sailor, "WiFi on the Prairie" follows with twelve tracks of brute, urgent guitar music steeped in Cleveland's rich rock history. THE COWBOY apply a wonderful angularity to the old budget rock formula, (see 2/3 o...f the lineup's previous work in HOMOSTUPIDS for further proof) while locking in / jamming out on another level. THE COWBOY are IT - an endearing trio that treads on the competition and writes on a futuristic par. Just don't ask 'em for the WiFi password." https://heltaskeltarecords.bigcartel.com/ https://thecowboycle.bandcamp.com/album/wifi-on-the-prairie
15.01.2022 RAT CAGE - Screams from the Cage LP In now! Along with a whole stack of other records "Like a steel girder to the forehead, incomes SCREAMS FROM THE CAGE. 19 minutes of brutally up front and relentlessly rowdy hardcore punk, that slams a firm British stamp on the classic Swedish Hardcore blueprint. This wrecking ball sits somewhere between the 80s Hudiksvall sounds of MISSBRUKARNA, the damaged NO FUTURE confessions of THE PARTISANS and the sheer rock and roll audacity of the... SKITKIDS. Back to back riffs that'll stick to your brain like the glue at the bottom of your bag and steaming drums blasts thatll plough through your skull like a juggernaut driven by a maniac high on amphetamine. Mylo Oxlo provides the artwork once again, perfectly capturing the claustrophobic animosity of the Rats latest 12 song romp and rampage. Fittingly dropping on the year of the Rat while the Torys take a strangle hold of the U.K for another 4 years. Hold onto your seat, feel the burn and dont you dare turn this fucker down." https://heltaskeltarecords.bigcartel.com/ https://lavidaesunmus.bandcamp.com/al/screams-from-the-cage

13.01.2022 MURO - Pacificar LP In now! And it's a belter "It's been a few years, countless miles of international touring that has exhibited their energetic live show to those lucky enough to witness it, and an incalculable amount of hours spent in rehearsal perfecting a breed of auditory frenzy that is all their own... and at long last we, the hardcore punk faithful, are rewarded with the great MURO delivering to us their latest LP titled "Pacificar." Many would have fathomed a follow ...up to 2017's "Ataque Hardcore Punk" to be quite the unthinkable feat, but these 11 tracks prove that MURO are far from a flash in the pan like so many others in this day and age and that they don't take the creation of their contributions to the greater punk canon lightly. As a testament to their unwavering work ethic and approach to presenting their art how they see fit, all print material was made by the band and friends at their Casa Rat Trap Collective in Bogota, Colombia and features a series of alternate versions of cover art a la The Execute's 1983 self titled EP compliments of the band's own Carlos Velásquez and Wilson Melo. It's a privilege to kick off yet another decade of hardcore punk with a release of this caliber." https://heltaskeltarecords.bigcartel.com/ https://fuerzaingobernablediscos.bandcamp.com//muro-pacifi
12.01.2022 GAFFER - Demo CS Gaffer demo is now up online in full and physical tapes available through HSR. Just in time for the weeks end (although does that really matter now?) sink a few get stuck into it. HSR035: 7 track demo from this new Perth band playing a mix of 70s and 80s punk and post punk. Effectively portraying the spite, anger and futile indifference that characterised the UK punk of the early 80s when Thatcher's neolib policies had destroyed the lives of the working clas...s - a familiar scene in the UK, US and Australia today. With buzzsaw guitars reminiscent of BLACK EASTER and the energy of the VILETONES when they were at their fastest. Rough. Featuring members from Cold Meat, Die, Helta Skelta and Nerve Quakes. 12.01.2022 AISD - Pathetic Flesh MLP In now! Along with their demo CS "On their first vinyl effort, ASIDs almost monomaniacal devotion to gutting hardcore of its accretions of style and refinement and revelling in its basest instincts of power and fury is on rude display. Pounding forward with a jackhammer beat, ASID burn through tough riffs birthed choking in a dirty glut of muggy fuzz that conjures up the sickened tone of something like Disclose's Nightmare or Reality 12". Pathetic F...lesh is an intense explosion of a record, chucking up the rudimentary stomp of Fever, the brawny pogo of Bootlicker, the panic-stricken downhill rush of the title track. This record is a total hardcore statement, with stunning art from the singer Tin, whose tortured yell struggles painfully against the storm of the noise, breaking through with ugly anguish." 11.01.2022 Great write up on the PARANOIAS - Napalm Springs 7" over at Sorry State Records! "Debut 7 from this killer Australian band. Like several of the bands in the Helta Skelta Records circle, Paranoias has a fast and catchy sound that sits in the middle of the Venn diagram where 70s punk, 80s hardcore, and 90s garage-punk meet. The production is raw and biting, which dirties up a batch of 5 songs that, in different hands, could sound almost bubblegummy. Fortunately, Paranoias bury... that catchiness in heaps of distortion, bringing to mind the Angry Samoans, Career Suicide’s catchiest moments, or a surf-inflected version of the Registrators or Teengenerate. In other words, it’s super fast, but you can tap your toe and sing along. I’ve played this about a dozen times already and I still want more." https://www.sorrystaterecords.com//paranoias-napalm-spring
11.01.2022 IRREAL - Fi Del Mon MLP In now! "IRREAL from Barcelona surprised us last year with a 6 track Demo tape of crude Hardcore which saw the band playing loads both local and internationally. The line up was made up of Barcelona punk scene stalwarts (NUEVA FUERZA, DESTINO FINAL, BARCELONA, ANARQUIA VERTICAL, UNA BÈSTIA INCONTROLABLE) which were not new to writing razor sharp riffs and impossibly catchy yet aggressive beats so their song writing and live performances lived up to the... expectations. 2019 saw the band facing guitar player changes and with a new line up they entered studio with Dani Frutos to record the 9 songs on Fi Del Mon. 9 tracks or urgent hardcore punk continuing the tradition of modern Barcelona Hardcore while keeping and eye in Finish hardcore and which are not afraid to turn the speed down to a pace that could bring to mind mid paced DISCHARGE or CRO-MAGS. The riffs are thick and crunchy, full of feedback and distortion, backed by a solid rhythm section and a assertive Catalan voice which makes sure to enunciate every syllable breathing some fresh air to an otherwise stale scene." https://heltaskeltarecords.bigcartel.com/ https://lavidaesunmus.bandcamp.com/album/fi-del-mon-mlp
11.01.2022 SELF HARM - Adapt to Self-Inflicted Chemical Torture LP In now! "Black metal should be oppressive, depressing, harsh and destructive - that is entirely what Self Harm have delivered from day one, no robotic blast beats, no crystal clear tremolo picking and third rate Norwegian copy cat vocals just sickeningly disturbed howls backed up with chainsaw guitars with the crackle of nearly blown speakers and thunderous torn apart low-end.... Self Harm are entirely rooted in the underground, where the filth remains and will forever stay, black metal at it's core with clear punk and death metal influence, a record we're proud to be apart of and a definite contender for AOTY in 2018 already." https://heltaskeltarecords.bigcartel.com/ https://selfharmperth.bandcamp.com//adapt-to-self-inflicte

10.01.2022 Another great wirte up on the RED RED KROVVY - Managing LP! Thanks Sorry State Records "Managing is the second full-length from this Australian band that has been kicking around for well over a decade now. They’ve obviously honed their craft because Managing is a striking record. One thing that interests me about Red Red Krovvy’s sound on this record is that, while they play in this Eddy Current Suppression Ring kind of way where the sound seems wide-open and full of space, w...hen you listen to the actual riffs and songwriting, you realize Red Red Krovvy is basically a hardcore band. It’s easy to imagine any of these songs with double-time drums and double-tracked, distorted guitars. They’d be just as good, but I’m loving the unique vibe they capture on Managing. If you’re looking for a place to start, Despise the Rich is a track where everything seems to come together. It starts with a huge riff I could picture Warthog using to clear a dance floor, then the chorus hits and the lyric, this is why I despise the rich! gets belted out with all the venom you want from punk. And if that wasn’t enough, a saxophone slides into the mix with a dissonant harmony that gives the song a sense of contrast that I can only describe by making a chef’s kiss gesture. Another favorite is I Just Got a Dog, a faster track with lyrics like he shits in my room and the brilliantly dumb chorus, he goes woof woof woof woof woof woof woof woof woof woof woof. Highly recommended for fans of Cold Meat, Sniffany & the Nits, and CB Radio Gorgeous, but I think fans of fast and irreverent punk of all eras would love this. Brilliant record." https://www.sorrystaterecords.com//red-red-krovyy-managing

09.01.2022 NOSFERATU - Solution A LP In now! "Texas's Nosferatu unleash their first full-length of hardcore ramped-up into its highest echelons of breakneck propulsiveness, whizzed-up and faultily-wired, a tumbledown chaos of Siege-like flurries, whipping about with Die Kreuzen sharpness, or the more modern uncompromising flailings of Permission and No. Ugly barks, murky blurs of riffs slammed into you with the force of a bomb-blast. Barely room for breath, most of the tracks snapping o...ff with little ceremony, apart from on the Under The Sun which drags that grimy noise out into a grubby itchy monster three times the length of most of the other tracks on the album, and on the apocalyptic stomp of the closer Solution Absolute." https://heltaskeltarecords.bigcartel.com/ https://lavidaesunmus.bandcamp.com/album/solution-a-lp
09.01.2022 SPECIAL INTEREST - The Passion of LP In now! "Special Interest have returned with their sophomore LP. A dual release from Night School (EU) and Thrilling Living (US). The Passion Of... combines elements of glam rock and no wave pushed through a mangled filter of contemporary electronic forms. Special Interest present a precise and deranged vision of punk, an apocalyptic celebration, a step forward into a perverse and uncertain landscape."... https://heltaskeltarecords.bigcartel.com/ https://specialinterestno.bandcamp.com/album/the-passion-of

06.01.2022 SYZYGY - The Pendulum CS Got copies of the new Syzygy tape in now! But they're moving quick. "Synth pop two piece out of Melbourne featuring members from Spotting and Vampire. Highly recommended!... A syzygy is the conjunction of any two related things, either alike or opposite. It is also Bec and Gus making synth pop together about structures and balance. 06.01.2022 Great review of the Cold Meat LP up at Neon Waste! In this era of 100mph online media content it's hard to find in depth reviews and critique but Neon Waste delivers. Check out the rest of their content. "It aint a hot take to say that Cold Meat has released some of my favorite 7s in the last few years. 2018s Pork Sword Fever almost got bought twice because I was playing it too often and didnt want to fuck it up in some solo Saturday night, drunken 7 festival. This LP i...s what Ive been patiently awaiting since scooping a bunch of new releases on a blind buying whim a couple years back . Frustrated and rant-ready punk rock delivered with fucking attitude and noise. Ash Gash has the kind of vocal delivery thats immediately recognized and is an instant classic. The music backing it up is that amateurish, bratty timelessness that makes Punk Rock the undeniable force that grabbed me to begin with. It might be simple to instantly compare this with Good Throb like Ive heard so often. The similarities are there but I gotta have both. Good Throb relies on a bit more aggression but Cold Meat sits back and settles into this groove that is mean and frustrated in a different manner. Both groups are spitting on you but its a different thickness of phlegm. You can pick up on the insolvent irritation that sits under each note and phrase but its still a fun record through all of it. For some reason Im right there with them even if theyre taking on my own personal, not-so-guilty-pleasures like ZZ Top. Cold Meat take to task veterans of American rock music while at the same time calling out the suits and gatekeepers of the music industry. The clueless zombies that told them theyre garbage for even picking up guitars. Womens Work grinds out hatred against the monotony of gendered labor with such feverish contempt you can imagine a housekeeper scoping out where to place booby-traps at some bastards house. There is an exercise in taming feedback on Cinematic Fashion, with no clear winner as Ash calls out excess with trademark wit. The line Charlie Sheen capacity should be a modern term placed into the vernacular of everyday speech. Australia should start and maybe cut down on heaps and use this as a substitute. Yeah, yeah. Im gushing but its deserved. If youve ever hated a man, a boss, a critic or your horoscope then this is for you. Your mental health demands it. Your life sucks without this. This is the kind of gutsy, pure, punk record that makes it impossible for me to grow up. Cold Meat forever. Yet another perfect Australian record. FFO: Hex era Poison Girls , Teddy and the Frat Girls." - Josh https://www.neonwaste.com/record-reviews/2020/4/29
06.01.2022 SUBDUED - Over the Hills and Far Away LP In now! "Subdued unleash their crushing debut album and not a moment too soon. In these dark and bleak days of 2020 they deliver a perfect album of classic anarcho punk with gothic tinges. impassioned vocals, raging guitar work that ranges from straight ahead to every so tinted flanged sounds mix with a locked in, energetic and relentless rhythm section. Their are moments of quiet and calm, spoken word vocals and metallic edges that ju...st add to the tension and intensity. if someone told you that this was released in 1986 on Mortarhate, you wouldnt be surprised. This album, along with Bad Breeding are setting the bar for a new golden age of anarcho punk in the UK. This album deserves a place in your collection next to Icons Of Filth, Anti Sect, Vex and Exit Stance." https://heltaskeltarecords.bigcartel.com/ https://lavidaesunmus.bandcamp.com//over-the-hills-and-far
06.01.2022 COLD MEAT - Hot and Flustered LPs have landed and are out now! Pre-order and store copies are out today. Go and pick one up online or in store from Lulu's, Repressed Records or Strangeworld Records or from the HSR bigcartel https://heltaskeltarecords.bigcartel.com/ "Agh! A fresh chop from the large dusty burning murder island: Cold is the Meat to beat. Perths finest flesh purveyors have upped their naughty game here across ten tracks of gleefully haughty punk. Hot and Flu...stered is somehow at once extremely camp and deadly serious. Ashleys vengeful, elastic rasp smears menses down the screwfaces of vacuous tastemakers, climate change deniers, perennial street perverts, and of course, ZZ top fans. Theres some surprisingly poignant forays into melody (Beach Photography) and a good grip of sudden tempo fuckery to keep us well and truly hooked. Their signature chubby and defiant riffs under snarky bouncing toms formula extends well to the album form, creating a timely reminder that hate and fear are more than reasonable responses to our hell predicament. Lets take comfort in collective ridicule. When its too hot to pogo because the sky is on fire, Cold Meat will let us writhe around in the dirt like the little piggies we are. (Bryony Beynon) Well, after a slew of 7 offerings, Perths Cold Meat have finally hit us with a full length record. Much like their last few releases theyve taken an amped up approach to 70s PUNK but this time round they offer ever so slightly more diversity. Ten tracks clocking in at just over 23 minutes and cut at 45rpm for maximum volume. Get hot and flustered."
05.01.2022 THE CHISEL - Deconstructive Surgery 7" In now! "Explosive new music from The Chisel bringing the edifying and restorative powers of the great British folk tradition back to the table for a staggering next pint. Just when you thought you were fucking full, your mouths been winched open and gallons of shards of broken glass guitar, thick bass, and burning howling bilious guts gets poured down your maw. The speed of UK82, the terror of punk, the solid mass of Oi!. Like a bar sto...ol breaking through a bus stop, there'll always be THE CHISEL." 04.01.2022 RUDIMENTARY PENI - Wilfred Owen the Chances 7" In now! "First time on vinyl and with new Nick Blinko artwork. This track was originally only available as a one track CD single with the purchase of The Haunted Head book by Nick Blinko which came out in November 2009. The then newly-recorded and previously unreleased Rudimentary Peni song Wilfred Owen The Chances is a three and a half minute dark and disturbing dirge. The lyrics were originally written by Wilfred Edward Salter ...Owen (1893-1918) about the fortune of five British 'Tommies' during World War I. Hopefully the start of making all Rudimentary Peni catalogue available again." https://heltaskeltarecords.bigcartel.com/ https://sealedrecords2.bandcamp.com//wilfred-owen-the-chan

01.01.2022 THE WILD CHERRIES - I’m the Sea / Daily Planet 7 In now! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=rGnIjGkKqPg&feature=emb_title... We’re doing further exploration into LOBBY LOYDE’s recorded legacy. This time, we're reissuing the final single by THE WILD CHERRIES. This tough to find single has been out of print for nearly 50 years, and was originally released on Havoc Records in November 1971, a mere four months before LOBBY formed COLOURED BALLS. There were several different lineups of THE WILD CHERRIES from 1967 to 1971, but the final short-lived configuration with LOBBY along with drummer JOHNNY DICK (Aztecs, Max Merritt and The Meteors) and bassist TEDDY TOI (Aztecs, Max Meritt and The Meteors) was the only one fronted by LOBBY. He was only on lead guitar in the earlier iterations of the group. BILLY THORPE and GIL MATTHEWS from THE AZTECS help out on the A-side. Gil also produced and engineered this single. 100% analog start to finish and sourced from the original master tapes. For those keeping score, this is our 7th LOBBY LOYDE-related release! https://heltaskeltarecords.bigcartel.com/
