25.01.2022 Community Halls have returned whilst I have been on Holidays, this means we're back in the scout hall this Sunday. Just as well because it was going to rain :/ See you at 1pm.

23.01.2022 With the recent 2 persons allowed to visit your home rule in place. I would be willing to host 2 person sessions at my home or yours (depending on where you live) on the weekends that I am free. Further to that I can also do one on one lessons at a property I have access to. Lessons are depending on both our schedules. PM if your interested.

21.01.2022 I did a private lesson today with Simon Fowler and look what he made as a solo training tool during the quarantine. This sword like object weighs around 500 grams, has a pronounced kuckle bow for edge alignment and a nice forward balance. Honestly it feels more sword like than the boffers. You can practice solo cuts, thrusts and guards with this perfectly well however you can't spar with it.....unless you want a trip to the hospital or alternatively coroners court. ... He would probably make you one if you ask him as well. Good work Simon.

20.01.2022 Hello All I am doing a private lesson at 2pm on Saturday the 16th at Bellmount Forest. Current covoid restrictions allow for one extra person to visit and the hosts are happy for you to come along. If you want to come let me know, first in best dressed. Cost is $5.

18.01.2022 Training! Good job on the new people giving it a go here is some of their efforts.

17.01.2022 Covoid restrictions have been lifted again in NSW. Up to 10 people can gather in public places (such as the oval) and up to 5 persons can visit a private residence. This means the club can function in small groups as long as long as we maintain proper distance (no grappling). Community halls are still closed so all lessons will have to be on private property or at the showground. I'll have a bit of time off coming up soon so I should be able to host something most weekends and even some mid week sessions if people are free. Stay tuned for session times, they will be advertised as posts rather than events like the formal lessons when we were allowed to use the hall.

12.01.2022 Tom got himself an arming sword, not really something we teach at the club but fun to use. It's very short and with it's minimal guard it's quite tricky to use for us 18th century types. Tom is using it a bit like a broadsword and I am using it a bit like a sidesword.

09.01.2022 This was down at the SCA the other day. A while ago I bought a costume from Erin's Handmade Happiness designed to go over my fencing gear. The SCA have a rule for their competitions that you must attempt historical garb. I didn't realise that wearing it over my gear would make me so hilariously oversized. Therefore I introduce Fossack, the fat cossack, he's after your potatoes and vodka and will throw you to the gulag when he's done. Erin's outfit was custom sized and there was no mobility issues with any of the gear. I just need to figure out how to tie the sash properly, this was a test run of the gear and I would call it a complete success.. Thanks Erin!

03.01.2022 A sunny afternoon of sparring with Kevin. There was only two of us so we had to prop the camera up to record, hence the reason why there are some strange camera angles. We did a few more fights than this but this is what we captured on camera. I added classical music for a bit of peaceful relaxation as well while you watch. 18th and 19th cenutry HEMA is just made for classical, watch and see :)
