25.01.2022 One plot, two houses, three generations Danish architect Nils Engelund has renovated his sons house in Hjbjerg near Aarhus. Now, he has built his own home de...signed as an independent annexe to the existing building and thereby realising the dream of three generations living in close proximity. The hard surfaces, the concrete floors, tiles and large windows could have been a major challenge in creating pleasant acoustics. 13.01.2022 Earlier this week I got together with Cameron from ISustain and Donald from Ozhemp to make some samples and play around with adding colours to the hempcrete. This is for the Iga Royalshow Showground of Perth where we will have a stall to talk hemp and sustainable building. One of the days there we are going to do a little workshop, where you can see how it is mixed together and get some hands on experience with filling in a section of wall.
