25.01.2022 Students and staff are encouraged to wear something yellow on Friday in recognition of R U OK? day

21.01.2022 Today we recognised RUOK? Day. Students and staff dressed up in yellow, we had themed items at our cafe and students made badges to wear. Throughout the week students have explored the meaning and importance around RUOK? Day and created window displays to share with their fellow classes.

18.01.2022 Please see below for current NT Department of Education advice regarding Queensland and NSW. IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR ALL NT FAMILIES The Northern Territory Chief Health Officer has expanded COVID-19 testing requirements for those people who have arrived in the NT from areas in Queensland and New South Wales.... The NT Chief Health Officer requires any person who has arrived (or is yet to arrive) in the NT to be tested for COVID-19 if: they have been in City of Ipswich, Logan City, Redland City, and Gladstone Region Local Government Areas since 25 March 2021; or they have been in the Byron Shire Council Local Government Area in New South Wales since 27 March. This is in addition to testing requirements for people who have arrived in the NT from the City of Brisbane and Moreton Bay Region Local Government Areas since 20 March 2021. Anyone who has arrived in the NT from these areas between 12 March and 11:59pm on 19 March and who are showing any symptoms of COVID-19 must self-quarantine and get tested. If this is applicable to you, please follow the advice issued by the NT Chief Health Officer to: - Arrange for a COVID-19 test - Self- quarantine whilst awaiting for the results - Return to school only once a negative test has been returned and/or you have clearance from COVID-19 Hotline to do so (COVID-19 Hotline: 1800 020 080) All of our educators have been sent this advice and we will support schools to ensure that teachers are following the latest health advice.

10.01.2022 A huge shout out to Gail Wright who has been an absolutely amazing support to Sam and the SRA@H program while they navigated the NDIS requirements and accreditation process. Gail is heading south for awhile. We wish her all the very best and hope to see her back at Henbury School in the future.

07.01.2022 When it comes to what works in schools, students are often the experts. We need to make sure we're taking student voices seriously, and acting. That'...s why the Education Department invests in the NT Learning Commission, a program that supports students to research local challenges in their school and propose solutions - all backed up with data. Great to see some of our local students at NTLC today. See more
