18.01.2022 Clients Im receiving a number of inquiries about what to do if you have to close your business due to flooding. The short answer is that if the Modern Award you refer to have provisions for stand down then you must defer to these, otherwise look to the Fair Work Act 2009 stand down provisions which say you can send staff home on stand down for cases of flooding and similar.
