13.01.2022 Well I finally managed to escape from self-isolation and have arrived in the community south of Darwin where I will be nursing for a few months. Thanks to all my family and friends for their support and encouragement during my 14 days of lockdown. It is fantastic to be back into nursing. A fellow nurse, Glenda and I took a short drive to the beach near our community to take in the sights recently. No one about but us two nurses. Please see photos attached. However, as we alre...ady knew and reinforced by a local Indigenous Australian, we did not venture in for a swim in the Joseph Bonaparte Gulf. Too many crocodiles lurking about and as you would expect, it is the ones you do not see that are the problem. The weather is cooling down in the Top End as we head into the Dry Season, with nighttime temperatures around 18-20. Please stay safe during this virus outbreak and maintain good hand hygiene and social distancing for everyone’s health. Kind regards, Ann.

12.01.2022 Hi Everyone, I'm presently in Darwin, having arrived last Friday, but have been put into mandatory self-isolation for 14 days. This is a requirement from the Chief Medical Officer of the NT. I have left the comfort of my beautiful home in Coffs Harbour, to help with the battle of our lives in one of the biggest communities in the Top End. As Nurse Professionals, we can't let Covid-19 destroy the most vulnerable. Best wishes, Ann.
