The newspaper cutting on the left is from his first appearance at the World Indoor Singles Championships. "It was in 1989 or 90 and I was youngest player to qualify at that time...15 or 16 years old," he said. "I lost to Mark McMahon, 3 to 1 in sets, first round." But it was the beginning of an illustrious international bowling career that has spanned 3 decades and counting. Jeremy has gone on to win World outdoor and indoor titles and Commonwealth Games medals for Ireland/Northern Ireland. 09.01.2022 TEAM HENSELITE FLASHBACK: To that last time you got dressed up for bowls at home. That's how Aaron Teys got started - as a five year old playing with his dad, mum and other family members on the hall carpet. These days he's a member of the Australian Jackaroos squad with Australian Indoor, Australian Open and World Champion of Champions titles under his belt. When the rescheduled World Bowls Championships take place next year, Aaron will be there representing his country.

09.01.2022 It's so good to be back making bowls again. The last time the Henselite factory was closed for 8 consecutive weeks was during World War II. Most of the workers went off to fight before the factory reopened to make aeroplane parts for the war effort. The photo here is from 1947 with the factory returning to normal production after the war was over.

08.01.2022 THROWBACK THURSDAY: In 2010, 16 year old Kristina Krsti from WA, took to the greens in her first Australian Open. Ten years later and Kristina has an Australian Open Singles final under her belt, has represented her country, lifted the U25 World Singles Trophy and is a qualified chiropractor. Like many young bowlers, her entry to the sport was a family affair. "My dad got me into bowls when I was 10 years old. I used to spend the weekends with him and this is when we used to practice together - it was dad-daughter time." #teamhenselite #lawnbowls #choiceofchampions

08.01.2022 We are saddened at Henselite Australia to hear of the passing of David Bryant CBE. Arguably the best bowler of all time, England’s David Bryant won 5 World Outdoor titles, 5 Commonwealth Games Gold medals and 9 World Indoor Bowls Championships. His name was synonymous with the sport of lawn bowls throughout the 60s, 70s, 80s and beyond. David Bryant was a great ambassador for the game and will be missed by many. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.

06.01.2022 All champions have to start somewhere. Team Henselite's Aaron Wilson, was introduced to the game of bowls by one of his brothers and he took to it straight away. Since the early days of his bowls journey at North Bendigo Bowls Club (pictured here when he was about 14), Aaron has gone on to become one of only 3 Australian Men to win Gold in the singles at the Commonwealth Games. He's also won the Australian Open singles, a World Junior title and a Gold medal in the pairs at World Bowls 2016. Aaron Wilson will represent his country again at World Bowls in 2021.

02.01.2022 BOWLS FOR WILDLIFE: Back in January this year, when fires raged across the country destroying homes, towns and huge amounts of bushland, we decided at Henselite that we wanted to do something to help those most affected by the disaster. We quickly set up a bowls fund where clubs who were running fundraising events could apply for product donations to raffle or as prizes, with the funds going to help those who had been left without homes and basic supplies. But we were aware i...t wasn't just the people who were affected, we also saw so many Australian animals lose their lives and had their habitat devastated. At that time we made a plan to create a limited edition bowl especially to raise funds for wildlife rescue. But before we could release it, as we all know, the world changed. For several months we were unable to manufacture bowls and had to put this plan on hold. Until now. As we approach the anniversary of those catastophic fires, we still believe that this is a cause worth supporting. We face an increasingly warmer future and, with it, an increasing need to protect our native animals and vulnerable species.
