16.01.2022 What a way to wind up the Henty Ladies Golf Club. Eight ladies played 9 holes at Wagga City last Thursday morning and then they were joined by three other golfers for lunch at The RSL Club Wagga. The winners of the 9 hole stableford event were Jane Yates and Sandy Newton. They tied with 17 points, great to see you girls win at season’s end! R/up was Alison Campbell with 16 points. NTP on the 9th under 30 handicap was Jane Yates. Then the 2nd shot for the over 30 handicap was... Marilyn Broughan. Lunch was a great success with a lot of laughs and noisy women. Thank you Jane for organising the day. From now on we play 9 holes on a Thursday with the men, Peter Skeers will let golfers know tee off time. Congratulations to all trophy winners and thank you to the committee for their dedication and time over the years. Many thanks to Carole who reports our ups and downs on the course. See you all next year in 2021!! CS #hentygolf #golffriends See more

15.01.2022 Nine ladies played last Thursday in beautiful weather. It was a Stableford Best of Team Event, Teams of 3 players a combined aggregate score but the best score out of the three players went on the score card. Sandy Newton, Jane Yates and Marilyn Broughan had 38 Points. Linda Coombes, Marlene Skeers and Connie Ross had 37 points. And the final team of Alison Campbell, Ellen Pratt and Helen Parker were the winners with 40 points. The winner of the day was Alison Campbell with ...36 points and R/up Jane Yates with 29 points, Well done ladies. NTP on the 7th was Connie Ross. Well done Connie. The team of Sandy, Jane and Marilyn pared the same holes and wiped the same holes. Will have to coordinate better next year. Sandy Newton didn't have a good 1st nine but all hell broke loose for the second nine with a cool 19 points. Alison Campbell is having a real scorcher of a year on the golf course. Alison birdied the 14th and nearly the same on the 5th. Then on the 4th a birdie gobbler. Well done. On the 6th and 13th water was everywhere. The ladies nearly had to call the Maritime Servicers Emergency to help them out. The Barossa Trophy is to be played on the 22nd October. The 29th October is our wind up day with 9 holes at Wagga City Golf Club then lunch at The RSL Club. The Combined Meeting is on the 4th November at 7.30pm. Golf is next week at 9.30am for a 10am hit off. #hentygolf See more

08.01.2022 Last Thursday was our last Official Day as The Henty Ladies Golf Club. It was a great turnout with 10 ladies. We played for the Barossa Trophy and the winner was Heather Beattie. It was a select 12 and Heather had 41 2/3. R/up was Jane Yates with 43. NTP on the 8th, 2nd shot was Heather Beattie, well done Heather you always come good at the end of the season. Try the opposite way next year. Out on the course Ellen Pratt was lucky to survive. Several assassination attempts o...n her life Death by golf ball". Then the highlight of the year has to go to Alison Campbell....Well Alison went to pay for her golf with $50 BUT forgot to put the $50 over and took change on top of that. Treasurer Heather Beattie had a headache trying to work that one out!!!!!! The Coffee Award went to Carole Singe because Carole finally turned up for golf. Next week we play 9 holes at Wagga City and then lunch at the RSL at 12.30pm. Golf the week after will be 9 holes on Thursday's over Summer. CS #hentygolf #greatseason See more

But Jane Yates had the shot. Out on the course Helen Parker parred the 15th hole. Well done Helen. The Magpies and the crows were on the course but the ladies have them scared and they were not active. Sandy Newton was happy about that!!!
