24.01.2022 We had our Presentation Night and start of season function last night with Life Membership and Club Achievement awards presented, fun events in the pool and a BBQ!

24.01.2022 Herbert River Team - 2020 RMHC Queensland Sprint Championships Congratulations and well done to our team. They shared a great experience competing at the State level and representing our district. Congratulations to Dale Scott reaching the finals in 15yo 50m freestyle - placing 7th in the state!

23.01.2022 12 Herbert River swimmers attended the 2021 Swimming North Queensland Long Course Championship on the weekend. All our swimmers placed in at least one event receiving a medal. They swam really well and made a great team. Relays:... Second Place: Girls 200m Free Relay 8-14 years Adele Jensen Lauren Jenson Louise Poggio Nalini Schofield Second Place: Boys 200m Free Relay 8-14 years David Schofield Lucas Masters Ryan Rutherford Codey Masters Third Place: Boys 200m Free Relay 8-12 years Rhys Rutherford Ben Poggio Nathan Lenzo Rocky Jensen Our three Medley Relay teams all placed fourth. Every team member did at least one or more personal best time and many placed in their individual events. They are the among the best swimmers in our region which covers the area from Mackay to Cardwell and west to Cloncurry. Our next club night is FRIDAY 26 March 2021. If you want to participate in a great evening and have fun at a mini carnival (and can swim 25m or more) come along. You will race against your best time, get fit and make friends from different schools and do so well in your next school carnival.

15.01.2022 We have had a great carnival and great time improvements from our swimmers. Special mention to Ryan Elliott. Ryan broke two long standing club records in the 12 year boys at our carnival. He swam an amazing 38.32 for the 50m breaststroke breaking Shawn Connell s 1992 record by over 2 seconds. He swam the 100m breaststroke in 1:27.91 breaking Aiden Fenoglios 1998 record also by over 2 seconds Lucas Masters age 10 was within a second of Joe Jackson’s records set 10 years ago in our pool in the 50 and 100 back and 50 free. We have a great group of swimmers making great improvements and showing commitment to training . See you all at training Stewart

Eligible families with children aged 5 to 17 years can apply for a voucher valued up to $150 to use for sport and active recreation membership, registration or participation fees. Swimmers came as far as Ayre to be involved in the car...nival It was a great day had by all and was great to see everyone out competing again after all the complications covid-19 has thrown their way!
