17.01.2022 A quick bit of important information about UberEats & Deliveroo. They charge a 35% commission rate for every order. For some restaurants this is their profit ma...rgin so they simply wouldnt make any money being on the platform. We were quietly expecting some sort of reduction to this rate during Covid-19 but so far, nothing has changed. Now, we understand that delivery is convenient and awesome and we still love people ordering through them. But if you live close, pickup is the best way to put money directly into small business and not into the hands of these delivery services. We are taking hygiene very seriously at our shop so rest assure that picking up is just as safe as delivery. We also have to turn off these platforms during peak periods because our wait times become too large and we want to prioritise pickup orders first. So if you see that we are unavailable, its not because were closed, were just busy. Also our phone has been ringing off the hook lately and we only have one line.
